    Thumbs up Did you all start eating normally once you got bfp??

    Hi,

    I got my bfp this week and had done 12 weeks on the LE diet. I gave up meat and snacking and breakfast. I have not stopped snacking on chocolate since I got my bfp! I don't want to fall bsck into that trap if snacking in junk. I feel so crappy after the diet and want to start eating healthy now that I am pregnant.

    the only thing I think people should be wary of is the sodium - if you were really limiting sodium I would not eat like a MASSIVE amount all of a sudden, ease into it with the sodium.

    I had a rough time with meat aversions when I was pg with DD. I have never been a super huge fan of meat when pg anyway (or even when not pg really) and I just really couldn't make myself eat it after having done LE for awhile. I ended up pretty anemic for awhile in the middle of my pg. So if you are in that boat as well you may want to add in an extra 18-30 mg iron supp 3x a week (in addition to a prenatal which will generally contain that amount...if you have a prenatal that already has 60 mg iron in it, don't do this without a doctor's advice, but if you are only taking 18-30 mg iron you can safely take an additional 18-30 mg iron 3x a week while pg AFTER having been on LE Diet)

    I struggled hugely with the mental side of going back to eating normally. I was so petrified that I would loose the pregnancy and have to go back on the LE diet but would then have another 2 or 3 cycles before being able to TTC again.
    I felt so guilty eating "forbidden" foods.

    It took a few weeks to pass
