    Weight loss

Hi! Just wondering how many kg would be ok to lose if we want to sway pink?

I have 48kg and I've been pretty much on it for months. Go up to 49 then down to 47, but in the last weeks 48. Have to mention my height is 160cm.

Would it be ok if I manage to lose 2kg just before our attempt or it is expected to lose more than that?

    Thank you! )

I think its the act of losing weight rather than how much. Although I do think you want to be losing weight at quite a rapid pace, so your body thinks its in declining health. I think if you could try and aim for maybe 3 - 4kg's (I lost almost 6 kg's in 4 months). It doesn't sound like you have much to lose anyway! But if you can try and push an extra kg out that would be great!

what if you've lost weight and then stabilised? I'm down to about 48- 49kg, nad have stayed fairly stable, with small losses...I'm 170cm, so quite underweeight (though I always am on the underweight-normal borderline...with 2 boys)....
Keep losing and get as low as I can around (hopeful) conception time?

Hi ficus, I'm not the expert but I would suggest you stabilise at your current weight and the month of your attempt you want to try and lose a few kilo's. It sounds like you are underweight anyway so don't have much to lose, but my understanding is its the act of losing weight that counts, not so much as being sat at a constantly underweight weight. Hopefully somebody else will chip in to confirm what I'm saying!

not eveyrone needs to lose weight, and no one should feel like they MUST. The diet itself will sway pink even if you don't lose any weight. If you weigh 47-49 kg that is FINE for TTC pink and you should not lose any more weight, just hold steady where you're at.

No, put on the brakes and just hold steady where you're at. Don't lose any more, you're going to stop ovulating.

I think you have reached the state where you should hold...you don't want to decline your condition to no ovulation.

Okay, glad the experts chimed in! I had weight to lose so it was fine for me but I agree you don't want to compromise your ovulation by dropping your weight too low. Good luck!
