How much time did you spend outside around conception?
Did you wear any sun block, hats, or clothing that covered most of your skin?
I am wondering because we spend a lot of time outside and I don't want to be left out. I know my boys were conceived in the early months of summer but for us we were only out in the evening sun for about 2hrs. It was about 60-70f degrees outside. This year we are finally getting to redoing our yard and plan to spend a lot more time in the sun. We are not going to use any air conditioning because I am hoping the summer heat will help to warm up hubbies boys.

My first was conceived in February so there wasn't any being outdoors. With my second, I conceived in late July and we were definitely outdoors much more. I know that we were outdoors more and we live in the southeast US. I do use sunscreen, but not always.

I was in the sun all of the time. I am sure I had good Vit D levels, but I did wear sunblock because I am fair and burn easily.

I Was outside all the time. I don't usually wear a lot of sunblock because I have olive skin. Not a big hat person as well. I'm currently preparing to sway blue. But after reading all the info on the girl diet, I swear it makes sense why we had our daughter! Our lifestyle was the girl Lifestyle for sure! Now I have to turn my lifestyle upside to down hopefully get a boy!

I spent a lot of time outside when I got pregnant with my girls (both in July), and DH is a carpenter, so he was building houses outside too, and hot all the time. I probably wore sunscreen 50% of the time.

Finding this interesting... I think we will just enjoy our summer plans...
Hubby works mostly outside. We will spend about 15hrs every weekend outside doing something and 2-3hrs every evening playing with the boys. I am going to add another walk to my day so another 2hr during the day for me.... guess I will use sunblock and a hat!!!2007

Is this about vit D3? I think it good for overall fertility, not just in terms no sun=no son
I think Atomic posted it somewhere, but I'll have to do some diggin' through the Stickiesm/c 2001

Atomic said something about the vitamins d from milk and the sun... I just don't like to be stuck inside all year. This last winter was odd but it is finally starting to warm up this week and we have so much to finish on the house. Winter this year was October-last week with some really good snow storms, lots of rain, strong cold winds, and even a few tornados.
Most of the yard is nearly complete but we still have a 12x4ft wall to build, fence around boat to redo, plants to transfer, rock to relocate, and we are going to fertilize the soil so it will be ready for grass next year. I would also like to get the house painted because a pink house is driving me nuts, yes I do not care for a lot of pink! The best news is we already have everything because the old owner was a plant nut so far we have only bought rebar for the wall. We have even given a lot of stuff away and will have more to get rid of when we are done.2007
