How long did it take you to get your PPAF?

    Hello ladies,

I've been swaying for over a year now and have tried to maintain an LE lifestyle the whole time. I thought AF would return when my DS2 turned 14 months like it did with my DS1 but now he will be 18 months in a couple days and still no sign of anything!

Not sure if it could be down to my significant weight loss as now I only weigh 45kgs and trying to maintain that as most of my family and friends think I have an eating disorder. The last time I weighed this was in my early teens so my body has definitely had a little shock I think.

Just wanted to know - how long did it take your PPAF to return and was it even later after second, third or more kids?

Also, I was hoping to be pregnant by the time DS2 is 19 months as this is the age DS1 was when I fell pregnant with him.

    Thanks xx

I do think you need to up fat intake to help your body ovulate, I would do one serving full fat dairy a day, 4 eggs a week, one serving salmon a week

Mine were various too. It was 4 months after my first, caught the first egg at 11 months after my second (period would have come at 12 months, I presume), and 5 months with my third. All were EBF to 6 months then food added slowly. So I started two of them before I was even introducing food (and none of mine slept through the night before a year...unless baby shocks me in the next 3 months! Lol).

I do have a friend though whose periods got later and later each time. She had 13 months, 16 months, and 20 months. So that can happen too. Although with a low weight, your body might not want to expend the calories to try and ovulate.

We may be done, we may come back for one more sway. Time will tell. At the moment, we are very content with our family!

Thank you so much for responding girls!

I feel like I am having the upper limits of LE and more on some days but I just try to eat at LE "times" so no snacking and just two big meals a day with some chocolate/something sweet usually right after. I've stopped tracking on MFP as I've been eating whatever I want really but still trying to avoid meat. Going to add the eggs in Atomic although I've been having lots of Quorn...does that count as a ton of protein too?

I have booked an appointment to see my GP on the 26th Feb to see if I can get some bloods done to check if I have ovulated but just haven't had a period yet. Maybe they might offer me something like Clomid? Haven't done any research on it but it is the one I hear thrown around alot when people have issues conceiving so excuse me if I'm wrong.

Is it a bit daft to say that I would just LOVE if we ended up with a pink oopsie i.e. just no period and a positive HPT? I don't know if I can do a hardcore sway on the one hand, but on the other if I do get AF maybe I can buckle down and get some other swaying techniques in - exercise, cut out meat totally, etc.

With DS3, I was EBF and on the mini pill, but then had very bad mastitis that depleted my supply. By 6 months, I had stopped BF and AF came in November so 7 months pp was the first time I had AF. Got pg with an oops 2 months later!
