UK mummies - brand help please

Can anyone in the UK tell me what brand/where they're buying their Vitex, fibre and OPKs? Also is anyone else trying to do the LE who's lactose intolerant? Lots of the meal ideas seem to be cheese based so I wondered if you had any tips. Is there a 'record what we're eating' thread so we can get ideas off each other? Thanks

Hello! I'm not doing fibre or vitex but I get my opks from ebay, it's about £4 for 20 from a UK based seller (not China)

I have posted meal ideas but some time ago and I can't remember what thread it's on (sorry not that helpful) - when I am in a computer I'll look for them and send the link to you. I probably have more by now too.

I got my fibre from Holland and Barrett (chitosan) and my OPK and pregnancy tests were internet cheapies from Amazon UK.

Actually I've got a ton of unopened chitosan (2 bottles of 120 good until 03/2016), around 50 OPK tests (until 05/2015) and around 21 pregnancy tests (until 05/2015) if you wanted them. PM me if you're interested and I can send them on, Weezie x

Thanks ladies. Yes please Ms Rabbit! I'm pretty desperate this time to do absolutely everything that's helpful. I did a strong sway last time but not entirely to the letter so fingers crossed this time. I'll look at the OPKs on Amazon and Ebay again. I used unbranded cheapy ones last time and found them so hard to read!

Oh, also there's milk/cheese in the shops called something like Lactofree (you might have seen the advert with the hedgehogs). Wondering if that would work for you - never tried it.

The OPKs and pregnancy tests are the card(?) dipping strips with two lines. With the OPK I DTD as soon as I got a hint of a pink line (normally around CD13 for me. I didn't wait for the full pink line as those wrigglers hang around for a couple of days or so). The pregnancy tests are early response and are again the two-lined dipping strips. They have instructions with each (if you're interested).

hi Weezie - i havent forgotten this. This is my lunch today, no dairy in sight:

Kirsty's Moroccan Veg with Quinoa (this is a good dairy/gluten free range) (276 cals, 3.6g fat, 11g protein)
Ocado: Moroccan Vegetables with Quinoa & Brown Rice 400g(Product Information)

Beetroot & Red Cabbage: (276 cals, 9.8g fat, 4g protein - although some of this fat and protein will be "free")
Ocado: Mash Direct Red Cabbage & Beetroot 350g(Product Information)

Waitrose do a side salad which has iceberg lettuce, shredded carrot, cherry tomato, sweetcorn and cucumber in it so I will probably have this too, its 54 cals but I dont count any of this as its free food. I may add a bit of balsamic dressing to this too, 50 cals, 5g fat, 0 protein.

So this lunch is 600 cals, 19g fat, 15g protein (but some of this contained in the cabbage and beetroot will be free)

I havent found that thread where I posted a load of lunches but I will do and I will post it in the UK ladies - lets help each other thread as i imagine that most of the food i buy is quite UK centric.

Thanks Steph. You're a star. You've got me thinking about ready meals and instant food which I never normally eat. I have just spent ages looking on Tesco at packet noodles and weightwatchers cakes etc. I am going to eat quite a lot of rubbish this time round!

most people with lactose intolerance can eat cheese and yogurt, so if you have been avoiding them because you thought you couldn't ahve them, give it a try and see how you tolerate it. The microorganisms predigest the lactose in them and so for most of us they don't affect our stomachs.

I am lactose intolerant and did LE Diet just fine. I hardly had any dairy at all when I was doing it.
