    exercise dilemma

So it has been over 3 weeks since I have worked out. Before that I had worked out for 4 months 4 to 5 days a week...5 to 6 in the last two weeks before my attempt. I took a break because I knew I was pregnant right away and I was too sick and now the last week I have been bleeding and in pain during my miscarriage. So my question is if we are attempting with the first ovulation after my loss is it too late to exercise again after a 3 to 4 week long break? I might only get a week or two in. Bad idea?? Good idea?? I am so lost. I felt I was carrying a daughter and I attributed it to the exercise mostly and I hate to exclude it but won't it sway blue now to only do it for a week or two?

Here are my thoughts (I am so sorry to hear of your loss.).

So, your body is in recovery mode. You worked out, did a diet, got pregnant, was ill from pregnancy, had a hard miscarriage...I think that if you went and did 2 weeks of hard exercise, it certainly would not make your body think you were in "good" physical condition. I would be inclined to think that it would work the other way and in the fact that your body didn't fully recover from all that happened in the past two months (+), it would tend to sway even more pink to add a couple weeks of hard exercise in there. I'd stick to cardio alone (as atomic recommends for pink). I think that trying to get that first ovulation will sway pink in a big way anyway.

I am in NO way an expert though, atomic might have a different take on it (and obviously listen to her! Lol).

I hope you get your little rainbow girl soon! Lots of luck to you!

-Our sway and pray little diva (J: 2013)
-Our lucky charm guy (S: 2015)
We may be done, we may come back for one more sway. Time will tell. At the moment, we are very content with our family!

I'm interested to see what atomic recommends. If it were me and I felt up to it, I would probably start the exercise again in hopes I might drop another 1 lb or 2 before I ovulate and that it would further decline my maternal condition. That being said, you have to put yourself first and if you don't feel up to it I think the loss in itself sways pink enough that you shouldn't feel like you NEED to do it in order to have a good sway this month.

If you feel up to it I would do the exercise. Even if it's just for 2 weeks. Maybe try to do it every day and only skip it if absolutely necessary. Your ovulation may be a little delayed so you may even get an additional week in.

I agree with what others said already, I think you are fine to take it up again but only if you feel well enough.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

I think that if you have really bled quite a lot, best to add in iron 18-30 mg 3x a week.
