I'm on month #1 officially ttc but I've been really, really paying attention to cycles the past three months in preparation. There's a definite pattern:
Huge flood of cm
(day passes)
Positive opk
Ovulation
This has been more reliable than temping for me by far. Also, in May I didn't get the positive opk-I actually never got a positive opk and flipped out thinking that I had not ovulated. But AF showed as usual and when I thought she would.
This month I got the huge flood of cm on Monday--meaning I should have had a positive opk yesterday and O today. We dtd Sunday night, Tuesday morning, and yesterday night, basically every 36 hours leading up to O. My doctor rec'd every other day and there's no reason to think DH has sperm count issues and I want to be pregnant...so we went for it. My diet/supps have been great.
Today should be O day and I am noticing a lot of dampness. Much more than I usually have on O day. I'm a little worried that I was so stressed this week (big car repair bill, big important work conference) that I may have delayed O or something and that now I'm going to O in a few days. As my husband says, I could stress myself out of Alcatraz. :roll eyes:
But it's also possible that this is just leftover from dtd last night? I'm 31 freaking years old and I've been married for 6 years, you would think I would know, but between pnp and condoms....no, I don't know. So, to my questions...
Is it normal to have seminal fluid leaking out all the next day after dtd? Or is this more cm? Maybe it's all the EPO?
Can I O without a positive opk? I only took them in the morning because of the all day conferences so maybe I missed my surge?
Should I keep dtd every other day? Today is CD 17 .
TIA!

I definitely have fluid the day after DTD. That to me seems normal. Could be CM too though; I get CM a few days after O and blamed it on EPO too.
If you were only taking one a day then yes, you could miss your surge. This past cycle I got my + at 2 pm, 6pm, and then by 8 am the next am went negative. FWIW I have NEVER gotten a + OPK with FMU; unlike HPT's they are better used in the afternoon because the LH peaks during the day, not in the am. The only time I've ever gotten a + in the am is the day after detecting my surge, so the downswing ... never have caught the initial surge in the am. Not saying it doesn't happen just hasn't happened to me!
If you're just aiming to get pg then BD every other day at this point sure won't hurt anything, IMO! Are you still taking your OPKs?

Left-overs from BDing last much longer than you would expect in my experience too.
I'm confused as to why BDing every other day isn't recommended for blue swayers - whenever somebody swaying pink suggests doing that it's highlighted that that's great for blue but not for pink! It's also what we did for our 3 boys2005

I totally agree with Begonia and Zanacal. I totally think it could be semen, it is actually quite normal for some people to have EWCM even after O, and you should always take your OPKs in the afternoon. I also think with DTD every 36 hours you are in blue heaven anyway so please don't stress!!!

I have def gotten BD leftovers confused with cm, so you could be seeing that. I also think it could be enough to possibly cause damp panties. I would wait for AF or a BFP
They do say that semen will dissolve in water, but ewcm will form a ball and drop in the cup... if there is enough for you to testWife to a sweetie DH& Mama to:
