    Advice please

I am a bit confused as I got dotted crosshairs today on FF. In a way I can possibly understand why I have them because of temps but I really do not believe that I have ovulated. I was taking clomid cd 5-9. I have not had a positive opk, no o pains or any fertile cm. I started taking robitussin cd 12 to try to help with cm. I have been pretty dry the last 2 days. I don't know if I should still take the robitussin. Any advice would be super helpful. I still plan on bd at least every other day now still.

    Thanks

Hmm. It does look like you Oed, on CD12 in my opinion, but clomid can affect your temps. And as you know, it really dries up CM so that CM is particularly useless for determining O. Can you think of any reason your last 2 temps might be artificially high?

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

It looks to me like you've O'd. Clomid can make you O early but it does seem odd since you took it on the later days. Keep up with your bd plan and post temps tomorrow. GL!

Thanks ladies. There is no reason my temps are higher. I have not had a positive opk and I ALWAYS do. Man, this is so frustrating. I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

It seems like my temps are slowly rising and that I did O but really? Can you O without any felt symptoms on clomid? Of course last month I felt O pain and couldn't bd and I was so prepared this month but it wasn't expected so early!

Clomid can really mess with temps, but I agree it does look like you ovulated. You were in with a good attempt anyway. My concern is that I kind of doubt there was enough time after taking Clomid 5-9 for your body to have popped out an egg that quick. I don't honestly believe this to be possible. Thus, I woudl def. have you continue BD.

Robitussin should be ok to continue if you want to. IT's supposed to be safe in early pg

So you are saying that it looks like I ovulated but in reality I probably didn't because there wasn't enough time from when I stopped taking clomid??
I will keep bd anyway but I just want to cry! Another cycle gone!! UGH!! Feeling pretty hopeless and defeated!

    Either -

    A) Your body was set to O early on its own and so did so despite the Clomid - if you DID O, this is the likeliest explanation. Since you usually O early I think this is quite possible, and the only way that can be prevented is by taking the clomid earlier (as early as CDs1-5, I'd recommend) or at a higher dose (increased odds of multiples so may not be the best option unless you're okay with multiples/are being ultrasound monitored).

    B) You haven't Oed yet and your temps are off.

I do think A is most likely but I don't see why you think the cycle is wasted? You got BDing in with perfect timing and good pink odds, so I think you have every reason to still be hopeful. Often when O comes earlier than expected it leads to pregnancy, I've noticed - and it has been true for me personally on several occasions! I have a theory that unexpectedly early O tends to mean strong O/particularly good egg quality and consider it lucky. Fx it is for you. Big hugs hun, I know it's been a long, long TTC journey and I totally understand your frustration/desperation, but I have a really good feeling about this cycle.

Wow, thanks so much for replying maiden. I think I am/was bummed was because maybe I misread atomic's comment that if I did O early than it wasn't enough for pregnancy. I am really hoping and praying your good feeling is right! You made me feel a lot better!!

I think it's darn unlikely that you stopped taking Clomid on CD 9 and then popped out an egg 2-3 days later. Is if possible, anything is possible, but it is ~to me~ less likely than option B above.

I agree that this cycle isn't wasted, please don't give up!
