Is ICSI compulsory with GSN Parental support PGD

    Dr Potter,
We're considering coming to you for GS PGD in the hopes of a baby girl.
We've had a split cycle previously with 8 fertilized embryos but by day 5 we had 3 from 3 embryos from IVF and only 1 from 5 with ICSI. For this reason we'd prefer IVF not Icsi but I understand that leads to a contamination risk. Please advise.

We can do it without ICSI but the incidence of 'no results' is high (10%). The results that you experienced would be unusual at or clinic. Possible explanations could be egg selection bias, bad luck or laboratory/technique issues. I hope that this helps.
