Could you be pregnant? I know as early as it implants I am starving all day long, like I can't eat enough and then 5wks nausea sets in lol so is there a chance? Or are you talking more about hormonal changes causing it?

Gizmo I do think there's something to your body getting used to eating more, and thereby getting hungry because it is used to getting fed at regular intervals now. I know that I definitely got pretty used to having a bedtime snack while on the boy diet ... in fact my tummy is calling out for it now :-)

I'm finding I am hungry all the time as well. I think building muscle is one of the reasons. The muscles need protein so our body wants to eat more in order to give the muscles what they want. I think anyway!

I agree with what everyone says - when you eat a lot of food, your metabolism increases and you begin to burn a lot more cals. That's good because you're getting so many nutrients from the foods!!

thanks everyone else. i guess that does make sense. i mean i am working out 3x/week on top of the daily running around with the kids. but yesterday i found myself craving cereal and having a second bowl in the middle of the day. in the middle of the day!!! (as if its alcohol). i mean im pretty much etaing every 2 hrs. but im findng myself craving those starchy carbs (speciak K, weetabix, potatoes). its as if the fruits and veggies arent enough....;-)

FWIW Gizmo I found the same thing to be true re:starchy carbs; I needed something solid to fill me up at my snacks. I usually ate a baked potato as part of my afternoon snack because I was just HUNGRY and those are filling. Especially on the days I worked out. You're trying October right?
