Tracking my totals for the day has me shocked I'm not (and was probably never) getting enough potassium! I went down a rabbit hole last night and found out only 2% of Americans get the recommended amount per day and it's a common concern of dieters (calorie restriction) that they aren't getting enough.
So, how are you ladies meeting your quota on the LE diet?
I love typical high K foods like bananas, yogurt, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes and orange juice - as long as I stay within LE limits, is it ok to eat them everyday to raise my totals? Unfortunately I hate coconut water which is super high in potassium. I'm having a hard time fitting everything just so with regard to totals.
I'm waiting on my personal plan but starting to track and get in the habit of certain things so hopefully it makes much more sense once I have that in place to refer to.

Your plan is done and should be posted soon if not already.
THe thing with potassium is that it's in a LOT of foods but it doesn't have to be listed on the label. So you are probably getting more than you think. I will post something in your custom forum that will help. Anyone who is a Dream Member there is a potassium guide in the DM section.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

My Fitness Pal is a poor source for potassium info as the data is entered by users, who often write down "0" for potassium amount if it isn't listed on the label. But there is at least some in most foods. Try Self.com for accurate potassium info.

If you still struggle look into Trace Minerals brand on amazon.com, they make electrolyte tablets (huge horse pills made of salts) that have more potassium than any other supplement I've been able to find, I think 60% RDA. I took 3 daily when I was running otherwise no matter how much or what I ate I had awful nightly calf cramps. I have always needed more potassium than recommended or that I could get in my diet. Now I drink coconut water but I miss those salt pills so much, wish I could get them here!

Be careful with those though because if you've been doing LE Diet for a while, your body may be hanging on to potassium and keeping extra in your system and you may end up going the opposite direction and getting too much if you started loading up on them.
