I started taking Metamucil pills and noticed it says it helps promote blood sugar levels. Eeeek! Can anyone give some input? I know we've had great success with fiber, but I admit reading that made me a little uneasy...

We don't know how the blood sugar stuff even works. If you take it with a meal (which is what you should be doing) your blood sugar goes up with meals anyway. The fiber is not the part of the diet that lowers blood sugar, that is the skipping breakfast and avoiding snacks part. Don't overthink things - the success rate with the fiber has been great.
