Just got off depo at the end of last month, no period yet. I read that you can ovulate first coming off, then start your period. Cm today started off creamy and then noticed creamy with what is starting to get stretchy. 2 bouts of a second of sharp left ovarian pain around 3:30pm central time. Since I'm just getting off of depo, we hadn't DTD in a couple of weeks (yeah I know), and I might hit O + 12, I should probably wait huh? Oh and I've been doing the HE diet vaguely (mostly eating salty and the foods recommended, but skipping breakfast some days...I didnt today for some reason) Yeah, I guess I'll try for next month. Or should I pop out the Pre-seed and Red bull for hubby and DTD tonight and in the am? It's after a full moon! I checked my cm ph at work using the urine dipstick, but don't know if it would have worked correctly. It was 6.0....advice please!

Oh shoot sorry I only just now saw this. I can not recommend your trying this month, that first month coming off hormonal birth control has swayed quite strongly pink and it will also give you more time to prepare.

Thank ladies...I waited. I don't think I O'ed anyways because my cervical mucous just changed to ewcm last evening. I did an OPK, it looked negative but after a few hours, it was lightly positive, but I still didn't count it. We DTD with a condom this am, I checked his semen ph, it was high. Around 12:15pm, I did another OPK, within 2 mins it was lightly positive (very light but I could see it). I feel the abundance of mucous in my vagina, so I'm guessing O is coming up. I sure hope so just because it means my fertility is coming back after depo! I think that I will O then get period. I've only taken 2 depo shots. When I tried only 1 shot a year ago, my period came back the next month also.
So Atomic or anyone else that can help, do you think trying in July and August would be ok for me, coming off depo. I finally got husband on board to TTC and now to vaguely do his part with swaying (mens one a day, boxers, cold showers, and coke before DTD). The rest is up to me. I would've ordered the false unicorn root but I read that it takes at least 3 months to work. I told my husband that conceiving in June or July would be best for us; I would deliver in the summer, my 1 year old (almost 2) wouldn't have to go to summer daycare thus saving money and she will start school that August at age 3. He said we could try for 2 months, then after, I have to let it go. But then I worry cause summer are girl months. But, my 2 girls were conceived in November and January.
If I end up having another girl, then so be it, but I would like to up the chances of a boy since we have 2 girls already. I want 3 kids and we are building a house this month or next, and would like to be prepared.

What do you mean by lightly positive?? If OPK is not as dark or darker than the control line, it's negative.
There is no use doing cold showers. Sperm are harmed by heat, but that can't be undone by coldness. Once the damage is done, it can't really be repaired, he has to make more sperm, that's all. Cold showers is nothing but torture for DH LOL
Don't use false unicorn, it is practically extinct in the wild now and the stuff being sold as FUR is totally different herbs.
I didn't know your husband had put a time frame on it - that changes things. In that case I would have you go ahead and try!! If you don't get pregnant you ahve no chance of a boy!
Summer aren't girl months, that idea has been debunked.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Ok thanks! Well the time frame thing was my fault. He said no, so I begged to at least try for 2 months when baby would be due next summer. As long as my periods come back, I know exactly HOW to get pregnant (hoping it happens), but I'm learning about swaying.
The OPK was not as dark as control like, but there was still a line. So okay, now that's negative. Should I use the smiley face ones to avoid confusion?
Okay glad summer aren't girl months. One less thing to worry about.
I was reading the "Blue sways with know outcomes" and is it me, or the IG diet produced more boys than the HE diet? I think the diet thing confuses me cause I find myself googling to see if certain foods are "boy" foods. I came upon Ingender and alkaline diet before I found this site, so even though I know to salt my foods and keep my BS up mostly, I'm still confused on the foods, besides red meat and potatoes. Like whole milk in abundance...I've read yay and nay. I think I'm confusing myself with all of this.
Sorry for being such a headache!

RE OPK - once you understand how to use them they're really instinctive, the digis are so expensive and I feel like are just as wonky and sometimes don't give a pos when you're ovulating.
They did not keep track of the stats for like the first 3 years of the site (this is done by volunteers and I have to wait till someone is willing to do it). Subsequently we have also had a very hard time getting blue swayers to fill out the form for their sways. That number is not "real", it's just the number of people who filled out a form during a particular time period. I think we had a run where some IG dieters filled out forms on this site or something. plus, the sample size for HE Diet is larger and way more accurate. A sample size of 13 people is not enough to tell if something is working or not, because one "lucky" sway pushes the % from the overall rates of the site into appearing super effective.
Here is the stats I kept from the first year.
BLUE SWAYS THAT YIELDED OPPOSITES
Begonia (HE)
waffles (HE)
Zivic Bubac (elements of both HE and IG)
son4meplz (HE without dairy)
boyjoy (IG)
Deb H (IG)
Babydes(IG)
Freya (IG)
Cheekymoo (IG)
gizmo(had some elements of HE but followed IG mineral recommendations)
SpicytunaSushi (had some elements of HE but more IG)
Iluvmyman (IG - her sway is not in the sway section, it's here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ay-2011-a.html)
I do not have much info about the following three sways.
Sunnyebsh (found a couple of her posts on IG and she did an IG style sway.)
Grasshopper (I'm not sure she ever posted a specific sway - she got pg after only a couple weeks of swaying.)
Kris 217 (this is kind of a special case because she had unusual circumstances for conception, so not sure that we should include this sway for or against either approach even if we do get more info.)
BLUE SWAYS THAT YIELDED DESIRED GENDER
Aqua (did IG but did not have super high sodium and potassium intake)
Daisyfay(IG)
Luvncamrin (IG)
Roonarpia (IG)
Proudmummy26 (IG)
My 3 girls(IG)
My Fab Children (elements of both but more IG)

I can say this much, I got 4 boys with dairy and my girl without it!
There are no boy foods and girl foods per se, it's the overall nutrient content of your diet that matters. (and honestly, doesn't that just make more sense than the Myth of the Magic Foods?)
Salt is not a magic blue bullet, no way, no how. So you have to do more than salt your food. You need to eat more nutritious foods and skip out on those horrible IG diet things with the ramen and iceburg lettuce with hamburger on top and rice krispies with soy milk on them!! If you're not comfortable doing full HE Diet that's totally cool, you don't have to, just avoid the bad things about the IG type diets!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I can say one thing, I'm a dairy kind of girl. I love milk, cheese, ice cream. I will eat cereal, like raisin brand or something, and I remember you saying no rice krispies with soy milk before. I'll skip the ice berg lettuce and eat spinach and colorful vegetables. I'm addicted to chocolate, but have been eating dark. I will try to limit my sweets, and always eat protein with my carbs. I have to keep something on my stomach. And cook, because I'm a fast food eater! Green tea, spicy V8 drink (not splash), pineapple and apple juices.
You advised me previously to DTD every 2-4 days from AF until O, then attempting 3 times once I have a positive OPK, one that night, morning, and next night, so that's my plan.
I have a gym at my job so I will start lifting weights some. Might skip the cardio.
My women's one a day, folic acid, vitamin D rx strength the week of O. Guan. 3 times a day around O, and coke for hubby 30 mins before. Pre-seed because I'm too scared of egg whites and doggy style, prop bottom for 30 mins. I think I might have it down pat. Am I missing anything vital? Oh do I use pre-seed and DH drink coke at EVERY DTD or just the ones around O?

If you do skim dairy usually, switch to full fat - something in skim dairy may affect fertility negatively and inadvertently sway pink. (no one knows why, but full fat dairy improves fertility overall in a big way, 100% proven by studies)
Dark chocolate if you like it, is a good way to satisfy your craving for sweets. Dates are also a good boy sweet treat now and then.
Pre-seed at every BD just in case you O early. I don't think having DH drink caff really does anything beneficial and I would not push him to do this if he'll be up half the night afterwards. If you have to use that method save it for the around-O attempts.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
