First time and trying for a girl! Please help!

Hello, my husband and I want to have a daughter. I had a very traumatic miscarriage several years ago and haven't tried again til now for fear it would happen again. Not to get too tmi but my doc told me my miscarriage would look like chunks of hamburger and not to worry but I ended up passing my entire fetus. I'll never forget how it was the size of my thumb yet I could see every detail. I buried her (never found out sex but I wanted a girl) in a ring box at the park where my husband and I got married. It's still so hard for me to see little girls without crying. After seeing literally everyone in my family (even teens) having kids around me I can't take it anymore. I need my little girl. I promised hubby a lil boy next so he's agreed to this. LOL!

I've heard those in poorer health conceive girls so maybe I'm already fine lol. I'm 5ft 2in tall and 90lbs so I'm pretty tiny already and my health isn't the greatest. I have scoliosis, anemia, depression, and finally got over my sulfur intolerance issues by cutting back on lots of food. I currently take a multivitamin (3 gummies a day) plus fiber gummies (2 a day). My usually diet consists of basmati rice, french bread pizza (from the frozen aisle), occasionally berries (blueberries, raspberries and strawberries), a banana every once in awhile and junk food. I'm trying to manage to remember to drink at least 1 bottle of water daily.

My Calendar (app on my phone) says I have an average of duration (period) of 4 days, with an average cycle of 33 days. And that my next ovulation day is August 2, 2014 and my fertile days are July 28-Aug 3rd. I'm not entirely certain this is accurate though because it is sometimes off by a day or two. Also I've read that cervical muscus (or what I call kitty cream lol) is supposed to be like egg whites when ovulation is occuring and can get your panties very wet. But the problem with that for me is that I've always had wet panties (which is why I wear panty liners every day) so not sure how to tell.

I've been reading now for weeks and my head is spinning. There are so many contradictory things about swaying (foods, supplements, timing, etc) and now I'm so overwhelmed at this point. I don't know what to do so I was hoping maybe some of you ladies with success stories could point me in the right direction. I need something that will help me pretty quickly because hubby wants to start next month so I have a month to get prepared. All I want is my little girl and I want to make sure I make the best decision to get my lil girl.

    Please help.

If you can afford it, I think a sway plan from Atomic might be your best bet.

Hello and welcome. So sorry to hear of your miscarriage! That must have been heartbreaking.

I'd start by reading up on the LE diet and make sure you are within the limits. - the lower limits are important as are the upper limits.
Another thing that has been getting good results is the exercise. 60 mins a day cardio. If you can include this it might help your sway.
The last of the main sway tactics as I see it is the one attempt. You can use Ovulation prediction tests and have one attempt when that is positive, or DTD once every 4 days which should get you one attempt within your fertile window.

If that just seems all too confusing you can also buy a personalised sway plan on here and get the coaching that goes along with it

All the best with your sway . And as a Mum of 3 boys I just have to add that boys are awesome and should you end up with one of them instead, you are in for a treat

    thanks TX!

First of all I'm so sorry for your loss and that your doctor did not adequately prepare you for what would happen.

Your diet and body type are already pretty darn pink friendly and I would just have you continue with that. IF anything, it's TOO low nutrient and I'd like to see you add in 1 serving of full fat dairy per day (yogurt is fine), 4 eggs a week, and one serving salmon if you can do that.

I would continue the fiber gummies but reduce the multivitamins to 3x a week. I think since you eat such a low nutrient diet normally we need to leave them in. I would also get an additional folic acid supplement and take enough folic to add up to 1200 mcg if you are under 35, 1600 if you're over 35 (so you would take into account the amount in your vitamin gummy if any and add enough additional folic to equal those amoutns)

THe phone app calendars are fine for anyone trying to just get pg provided they have a regular cycle. Most of us use OPK tests, but you don't need to do that, and it may stress you out if you did. I would just aim to have one attempt in those fertile days on your phone app. Don't worry about monitoring your cervical mucus, you don't need to pin it down any more closely than that. (on your diet it would not surprise me if you had very little EWCM and that's why you aren't sure what it looks like - which is probably good for TTC a girl anyway.)

I do want to give a disclaimer here, when people are really struggling with a strong gender desire to such an extent as yours, please proceed with caution. Swaying cannot ever be a guarantee and some people are better off investigating high tech methods of gender selection like IVF/PGD if they are really really going to be devastated with an opposite. I'm not inside your head so I can't know if you're in that group or not, just want to throw the possibility out there.

Yeah my husband is worried that I'll end up with post postpartum if I don't get my girl and honestly I am too. I don't know how to describe it but it's like this desire for a daughter has taken a life of it's own and I can't control it. I don't know why or how to "relax." Plus I have depression already so my chances are pretty high. My therapist told me even with a girl she thinks I still may due to my previous life, tragedies and state of mind. I really think if I do have a girl I would be too happy for that but maybe I don't know since it's chemical.

As for my diet. I have a big problem. I have sulfur intolerance (eggs landed me on my death bed 2 years ago from severe dehydration due to diarrhea and puking no exaggeration so I'm highly sensitive) and lactose intolerance (yogurt seems to be ok) so my food choices are EXTREMELY limited. Any alternatives? Salmon is no problem because I LOVE seafood! But did you mean salmon once a week or once a day? Also I'm a bit nervous to do cardio because I get winded just from going up a flight of stairs, plus my heart races & I get light headed just from getting up after sitting on the couch. Any suggestions on how to start?

Oh and just to verify, you said 3 multivitamins a week, keep the fibers to 2 times a day, and add 1200 mcg?

I also have been on some lactose pills and have been able to eat some dairy but still get gas sometimes lol, so I don't do it too often.
