Hiya,
After being on the LE diet since August, I have lost 14lbs which I am so happy about!
Weight comes off me very very slowly and alwAys has so I have no idea how much overall I will have lost for ttc in February.
My current bmi is approx 24, but is there a bmi that I should be aiming to get to?
I see other people with bmi`s of 19 and 20 and panic that i will never be able to get anywhere near as low as that!!
Does bmi number matter or is it the weight loss and maternal condition that matters more? (Please say the latter haha!)
Xxx

I believe Atomic suggests not going below a BMI of 20 or 20.5. If you get too low, you risk losing ovulation (happened to me!). Don't worry about what others' BMIs are because everyone's body works differently and while some are able to ovulate at a very low weight, others are not. I think your amount of weight loss sounds good. It's your overall condition that matters most. I think if you're sticking to the LE guidelines, one attempt, and exercise (if you're doing that) then you're good to go for a pink sway. Good luck!

Don't worry about what anyone else is doing. Comparison is against the law on this site.
You are doing fantastic and all you need to do is be lower for YOU. I only lost 3 lbs before my successful sway and my BMI was 22.
I don't want ANYONE going below BMI of 18.5 under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES and BMI 21 is where I think everyone should stop losing and start trying to hold steady. Most people lose more than I want them to and end up with BMI lower than I prefer. you're doing it right.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

some people are just naturally very petite (esp. those of Asian heritage) and can absolutely have boys even with low BMI. IF you are ovulating at that BMI it is fine, don't lose another OUNCE though. Would still tend to sway pink, evne if you have had boys at that size before.
