    How important is low sodium?

    Hi,
I am on my first week of the diet, and found it relatively easy to stick to the protein/fat/kcal, but my sodium usually ends up at around 1,200mg (according to MFP). Is this too bad, do you think? And how much does it matter?
I think I may have to start making my own white bread, as the shop-bought stuff seems to have a fair amount of sodium in it....

Don't worry about sodium. Most of us swayers don't track it and find that as long as you don't add salt to foods you'll be fine. It is more for good health to limit salt in your diet and that is why Atomic included it in the diets.

You're doing great! Keep up the good work!!

I don't track it at all. It seems like it's kind of old school.

I didn't track it either. I didn't even try to limit it. I read through a lot of the failed boy sways (when they got girls despite doing everything boy friendly) a year or so ago and a lot of them said they were salting everything a crazy amount. It was easy to let go of after that
    Very blessed with

Great - that's really good to know! It makes the diet lots easier if you don't need to worry about sodium. Thanks everyone!

Virtually all of us have totally given up on that. 1200 is barely beyond the sodium limits anyway. It makes it SOOOO much easier to stick to diet when you let go on that one.

I got my 4th boy limiting sodium and my daughter without limiting it at all.

you are SO RIGHT CIB! This is what I see again, and again. The failed boy sways where they were doing everything HE but still limiting cal/mag and eating absolutely disgusting levels of sodium are often the ones that do not work out.
