Embarrassed Do I really need an endoscopy for TTC again and before my girl sway?

    Hi Atomic,

After a complicated second birth, my mom insists I speak to a doctor and ask to have a womb endoscopy to ensure my womb is in a good state to nurture my future baby I would like to conceive.

Why did I speak to her about it? Never mind I know she only means well

So OK I will speak to a doctor about it. But essentially I feel more and more ready to start my sway, as DH said yes to a third baby which made me have hopes and I did not want to hear anything negative about it or anything to make me worry.

But I had a complicated second birth, DS did not breathe for 14 minutes after birth and had a mild shoulder distortia, but thank God, he is a healthy baby boy without any issues and very cuddly and cheeky!

And I also had retained placenta parts and lost 2L of blood a week after giving birth which meant I needed blood tranfusion and a D&C.

My mom says that is the reason she is suggesting it and the fact that I was wearing corsets for a few months after giving birth to reduce my diastasis rectae at my physio's request. She says that may mean my womb did not receive enough blood to rejuvenate itself properly.

Should I worry? I know of course only a doctor can tell and advise but thought with your experience you may know more on this than me. Wish I never confided to my mom but hey what's done is done

    Thank you for any input

The corset isn't going to affect your womb. I assume they had a good look at the inside with the D&C.

That is never done without a reason and you'd be hard pressed to find a doctor who would even be willing to do it.

Trust me, if women are getting pregnant wearing tight low rise blue jeans which put much more pressure on the womb (which they are) then a corset is fine. If your womb wasn't getting blood, it would actually DIE and that would be a medical emergency, you'd be very very ill!

Thanks very much Atomic! My mom always gets worried and because a friend of ours had problems and had a very early birth to her second child, which that particular friend attributed to her D&C and retained placenta parts, my mom assumes I need to be checked for that Good to know though corsets etc are not an issue really... Thanks a much
