When do you have time to exercise for 60 mins???

I am seriously trying to figure out when I can get in the 60 mins of exercise a day. I work 10 hour shifts. I get home, get dinner ready, do baths with the boys and it is time for them to go to bed. I get about an hour time for myself and DH to be together, but that is usually when I am nursing the baby. I sleep for about 6 hours a night and that is interrupted with a nursling. He nurses in the early morning as well. What happens if I have to nurse while I am in the middle of my exercise? I only have a 30 min lunch, so I can't even do it while at work. Ugh....just not figuring it out right now. I guess I can try to get up early and pray the baby does not wake up.

When do you all do your 60 mins of cardio?

I always did my cardio in the afternoon during the boys' nap time but obviously that wouldn't work for you if you're working during the day. Every once in awhile I'd end up working out in the evening after the kids went to bed. Can you do it then? I understand it's your time to spend with DH (it is for me too) but since I used an exercise bike I was still able to watch a show with DH while working out. Is there any way you can let your DH feed the baby pumped milk in a bottle while you're exercising? It sounds like you have a pretty full day without much sleep at night so I think if you just can't fit in cardio while staying sane, then skip it. Otherwise it's going to be too hard to stick to because it will be seen as a chore and not something enjoyable like it should be.

Shann, it is ok if you can't do the exercise. With that kind of hectic lifestyle I would never want you to try to fit it in. Just let it go and do what you can on diet.

I had a lot of craziness going on when I TTC my daughter and I couldn't exercise. i got her without it.

I know it's hard to give up on things like this but the weird thing is, it's the people who put out the most superhuman of efforts that end up getting boys anyway. It's a chicken or an egg kind of thing where I cannot know if it's the level of commitment that means someone was more blue-friendly to start with (aka "I WILL get a daughter if I must pry her from my uterus's cold, dead hands!) or if it's that the commitment in and of itself actually sways - the rush that a person gets from doing everything to the max just perfect. Or both. But what I do know is that the people who are a little more laid back about it and do the doable are the ones that get girls.

Baby chloroform works wonders. Allows me to get so much done.

... Seriously though, I can only do it by taking an hour lunch break, there's no way I could fit it in once I'm home. I agree with Atomic it sounds like you have enough on your plate!

I had a though. I work at a desk all day. Would moving to music and/or walking in place while standing working at my desk be enough of a cardio to work? I know I can do that. I do not do any exercising now, so it would def be more than I am used to.
    Thank you

I don't have a large body of data to back it up but it makes sense to me.
