I'm now 9 weeks as of tomorrow and been looking forward to my panorama test next week as I get to see buba. But yesterday I had spotting (brown discharge) which today had turned into heavy red bleeding with small clots. I'm scared to go to the toilet as I really couldn't handle seeing anything!!!!!!
I'm down the coast staying with my mum who doesn't know I'm even pregnant, it's my fifth and a sway and I just can't be doing with the are you going to manage stuff as yet. Plus wanted the all clear as 35 now!
Please if anyone knows what I might expect as I'm having no cramps just twinges!
Tara

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's hard to know whats going on. You may be having just a pregnancy bleed but you also may be miscarrying. The only way to tell is by having a scan. Is there a local gp you can go to? That would be my first port of call. Maybe you could consider telling your mum whats happening? It would be nice to have some support xx

Lady i think this is one of those things you may NEED your mom for...you may end up surprised at her reaction..i thought my mom was going to flip about my 4th pregnancy but after a quick disappointed look she hugged me and has been incredibly supportive despite what she may be thinking in her own head...you really need to get to a doctor but its entirely possible with as scared and upset as you are that you should not drive and i think it would be good for you to have someone with you during an emergency scan to check on baby just in case you do hear the worst case scenario...i hope things go well and that this is just a 'normal' pregnancy bleed for you and not a miscarriage..

Lady, I really hope you are OK, and that you've decided to reach out for help.
It's hard to know what you should expect, because that depends on what's happening. If it were me, I would get checked out as soon as possible to see what's going on. If it's just some pregnancy bleeding, hopefully it will stop soon - even if it doesn't, I delivered a big healthy baby after bleeding throughout most of my first pregnancy, so all may certainly still be well. If you're having a miscarriage, you can expect a lot of cramping and bleeding, and you will definitely want to get medical care to make sure you come through it well and with no complications.
I'm very sorry this is happening to you. I've had pregnancy bleeding and a couple of losses, so I know how scared and sad you must be feeling. You are not alone.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had bleeding this pregnancy from 6-7 weeks that started out brown then went to dark red w/ a few small clots then back to brown. Everything was fine and no cause was found. Hopefully that's the case for you. I think it's important you get an early ultrasound if at all possible. Call your OB/midwife and let them know what's going on.

Hi Lady
I think you should refer yourself to the local Early pregnancy Unit.
Or call NHS direct and tell them your symptoms and they will ring you back and do it for you.
Either way you need to go to get checked out

Oh no I'm so sorry only just now seeing this.
Obviously this is never what we want to see but many people have had quite heavy bleeding and still come out of it with a healthy baby at the end.
If it isn't working out, most of the time at this stage they will resolve fairly easily without medical intervention but of course if you should feel poorly in any way or if the bleeding gets beyond a normal period for you I would go in to have it checked. I also want you taking your temperature from now till the bleeding stops, every 6-8 hours and if at any point you develop a fever you need to get into the hospital right away.

Hi
Just to update, not much of one though, the bleeding got really heavy at different points tmi but gushing and small clots. Sunday morning had cramping and felt as if something came away at same time had went to number 2 but didn't look. Just broke down. Carried on bleeding. Then Monday afternoon had contractions they were painful that I couldn't sit on my bum I would say half way through labour type pains. Each one left me gushing sorry. It subsided after a couple of hours but no tissue or clots.
I phone epu near me which booked me for Tomoz (Thursday) a whole week after heavy bleeding! I've since phoned my local epu near where I actually live and they can also fit me in Tomoz. I'm going home as need to be on home turf as still away at moment with kiddies seeing my mum. I just want to be with hubby and go home when I here the news for sure. Anyway I'm still bleeding like a moderate to heavy period and will update Tomoz but all cramping stopped since Monday avo!
