Hi All!

Would this affect a girl sway in any way?
Thanks!

Guaifenesin can cause tons and tons of fertile cervical mucous, and is often taken by blue swayers. I would avoid it on a pink sway.

Do people still bother with antihistamines/benadryl on girl sway? My first attempt is coming up next month & I was unsure whether to take any or not?

First question - yes I'd avoid guanefesin unless you've been TTC a really long time and or are on like your 5th/6th month of Clomid.
Antihistamines - we've had disappointing results with them. They seem pretty much neutral and do cut odds of conception. But I do allow people to use them still if you so choose.
Most people I have them start 5 days before O and stop pos OPK or day of attempt whichever comes first. (this is cetirizine I'm talking about)
If you are breastfeeding a baby more than 6 months old, or hubby has low sperm count you can take only one, 6 hours before attempt.
You can couple this with diphenhydramine, 1 1-2 hours before attempt (or you can use just this) Do not do this if breastfeeding.
A new thing I've just discovered is that you can also take 15 or 20 mg total of cetirizine if 10 is not drying you up. Can't speak to odds of conception with this though. Would not take this dose if BF.
If you have thyroid problems or glaucoma you may not be able to take these, please ask doc first and also if you're on any meds doublecheck for interactions.
If using alcohol I would go VERY light with them or even not combine them on the same day. If you do, don't drive after you do it. (and never take the double dose cetirizine, the additional diphenhydramine, or have more than 2 drinks with antihistamine). Since alcohol has gotten better results for us thus far I'd favor alcohol vs. antihistamine.
Also if you are taking antihistamine and/or alcohol (and really it is my very great preference that you not do this when breasfeeding, or ever at all really) please be extremely careful if you are co-sleepping or do not cosleep at all because you can really become very drowsy and hard to rouse. I'd really prefer everyone NOT do this, it's not an endorsement, but sometimes if I don't mention things then people don't stop to consider the effects.!!!
