Clomid dosage

Hi all,

Any of you that are on Clomid or know much about it.....do you increase chances with success of conceiving girl if you take 100mg instead of 50mg? I haven't seen great results with a positive OPK on 50mg...

Any advice would really be appreciated ...Thankyou!

Im guessing it does , If you raise the dosage it dries up the CM

I don't want any of you taking more than 50 mg without a doctor's advice. You may end up with multiples doing that.

Can you tell me more about the positive OPK issue and how long you have been on Clomid?? At some point you have to stop waiting for positive OPK and have attempts every 3 or 4 days to increase chances of conception.

Hi atomic....I have been on it for 3 months and haven't seen any positive OPK.....so instead of increasing dose you recommend to dtd every 3 to 4 days? Is this still ok for a girl sway?

So you have had no attempts for 3 months???

Yes, you need to DTD every 4 days IMMEDIATELY. We have had good luck with that.

Next month and thereafter I want you on every 3 days. At the 5/6 month mark, go to SMEP. You cannot take Clomid more than 6 months.

I really do not recommend upping dose without the input of a doctor.

Flomama SMEP means sperm meets egg plan. It increases chances of conception. The point on clomid is you have to get pregnant as fast as possible because you can't take it more than 6 months. Definitely do every 4 days starting as soon as AF is done and all they way to the end of your cycle or well past you think you ovulated. What cd are you now?

SMEP steps if you have to go to that.
1) Buy 10 OPK tests PRIOR to cycle day 10
2) Starting on cycle day 10, do one OPK test EVERY DAY
3) Babydance (BD) EVERY OTHER DAY starting on cycle day 10 (Elevate those hips for 10 - 30 minutes after each BD session)
4) When you get a positive OPK, babydance that day and the next 2 days in a row (so 3 days in a row total)
5) Skip one night and babydance once more the next day (Just when you thought it was over!)
6) Take a home pregnancy test (HPT) 15 days after the day you ovulated

Anyone who is on Clomid, move heaven and earth to have an attempt every month you're on it. You can only take it 6 months tops and it may start to really lower odds of conception after 3 or 4. Don't be waiting around for an OPK that may never come, do every 4 or every 3 days.
