    GIRL SWAY - NEED HELP!!

    I have a very short cycle (23 days to be exact). I ovulate on the 9th or 10th day (varies). I was told (and from what I'm reading), I should be BD'ing on days 5 and 6 (3-4 days before O). Would this be a correct understanding? Sorry, there's so much information and I'm a little confused!

    We've also been doing cranberry supplements, calcium citrate, diet, and i just did replens last night which really lowered my pH. I think I may do a fingertip of replens and sudafed a few hours before BD'ing tonight and tomorrow, IF we're supposed to be BD'ing tonight (I'm supposed to O on Thursday or Friday). Help and thank you!!

    Timing doesn't work. It really doesn't help at all and it's going to cut your odds of conception considerably to aim for that long a cutoff. Most of us on here have several timing opposites and here is the science against timing. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html

    Please no Sudafed. It's been linked to strokes in young women and it is better off avoided.

    I would wait at least a day or two for more like a 2-3 day cutoff instead of 3-4. If you want to use timing, it's a much better chance of conception.

    I do my best to answer questions in a timely fashion. This may take me up to 5-7 days sometimes in the free forums (Custom Swayers always get their answer in a day). It was actually quite lucky I was in a "question" mood tonight LOL because otherwise I'd not have replied till tomorrow at the earliest. Some days others are available to share their knowledge and other days they aren't. Just how it goes, unfortunately.

    Here at GD, for TTC a girl it's BD at pos OPK or BD every 4 days (e.g. cd4, 8, 12 etc). We don't worry about pH here since that's an old school sway tactic. Calcium is something we don't typically do either. Cranberry is for DH only and even then I'd get Atomic to sign off on it since it's not for everyone.

    Btw if you keeping bumping ypur thread, it actually takes longer for Atomic to see it since she answers posts from oldest to newest.

    Thanjs so much for your help - I'm new here and didn't realize it took awhile. This board seems so active! So, here's my follow-up question....there's so many links on here and I feel like I've read them all! Some say timing is important and some say it isn't, some say douching and pH are important and some say that they aren't, some women are doing cranberry and calcium supplements who have had girl babies, but then I read that we shouldn't do this...so which is it?! I would love to sway but I'm kind of looking for the top three most important things to do and I'm getting confused by all the information. One thing to note is I'm 40 - this is MY last but I am extremely fertile still so I decided to go for it because I still feel 20! I'd like to move the process along though!!

    It's active, but even the most active message boards have slow periods.

    That is because I intend this site to be both a clearinghouse of information about lots of swaying tactics (with clearly written instructions that are first and foremost, grounded in safety) and also as a way for us to figure out which of these things, in the grand pantheon of sway theories, are actually working the best. Not everyone wants to do things my way and that's cool, so some people do things that I'd prefer that they not (the cranberry) or things that I don't think work but at least aren't harmful (the calcium).

    Cranberry is harmful. Of this I am fully convinced at this point and while some still insist upon it, I cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone.

    Calcium is at your discretion. I think the evidence it works is not there, it may cause heart disease later on, I got boys while taking it and dropped it to get my girl (as have several others) but I understand some choose to use it and that is at your discretion.

    The things that are really working:

    1)LE Diet plus fiber, coffee, and alcohol, being sure to drop multivitamins and probiotics and do NOT take Vit. D.

    2)Cardio exercise 60 min. a day 6-7 days a week if at all possible, 4-5 days if that isn't doable (but I feel we are seeing a drop in results as more people are doing less exercise)

    3)One attempt or every 4 day method (most will start off with one attempt and then after a few months go to e4d)

    4)Clomid or Femara if you can get them

    5)OLE for DH (iffy) jogging/biking for DH (shown in studies to help) and smoking for DH
