    What's the deal on lubes??!!

So just read all the thread on mums who conceived daughters and it seems a good few used some sort of lube? Never used the when I conceived my 3 boys so was wondering if it's a good thing to add [emoji848][emoji848][emoji8]

We have tracked the supposed "pink friendly" jellies like RepHresh, Acijel, and Sylk in our results and they seemed to be completely neutral - they don't seem to help or hurt a sway and additionally have really cut odds of conception.

sometimes you have to keep in mind that in those threads people will mention things that they have heard sway. So they may be more likely to recall using them since they're said to sway pink.

On paper, they "should" sway pink, but it's just that it's not seeming to come up that way in our results. Fine to start off using one of them but should be among the first things to drop if you get more than 2-3 BFN.

I understand that some people think KY jelly sways, we haven't tracked that one, there are a limited number of things we can test and track.

I am assuming as very likely, that since the jellies we HAVE tracked were neutral and did not seem to sway, even though they were, on paper, supposed to be "pinker" than KY anyway, that KY is also neutral and does nothing reliable for swaying.

Our theory is that things that make it harder for sperm to meet egg, tend to sway pink. The issue is that people are not getting pregnant in any timely way using them, and those that do, are not seeing any different results for gender outcome than those who conceived not using them. It makes no sense to me to cut odds of conception to nothing for no benefit (especially since we've had trouble with people dieting too strictly for too long and ending up stopping ovulation anyway)

You can use them if you would like to use them to start with, but they should be among the first things you drop if you get more than 2-3 BFN.
