    Unintentionally swaying pink?

    Hello All!

I'm new and have come to the conclusion that I can only be a lazy pink swayer since if I obsess to much it will stress me out and raise my testosterone. lol

I have one beautiful boy who we did the shettles method for (and prayer, lots of prayer for my baby boy) and unknowingly was doing the boy diet and charting for day of O and had tons of EWCM and lots of O's and also abstained until O.

Now I would love a girl, but I wouldn't mind a baby brother for my little one either so either way We'll be thrilled.

On to my lazy girl sway...lol

I guess I have been on a LE diet for about a year now unintentionally since I find I gain weight so much easier now after I had my boy. I'm adding saw palmetto in about a 320mg dose (is that enough?). I'm eating more dairy. Plan to drink benefiber which contains aspartame until O. We don't eat red meat, and I usually only eat meat once a day if at all. I chart for temps and O and use OPK strips. I'm hoping to get my hands on some rephresh and some sylk as well.

Its the timing and frequency where I need some help with. As well as whether or not I should be taking additional supps like calcium or anything else and in what dose? and if i've been on LE diet for so long should i make any changes? It is the complete opposite of what I was eating when I conceived my son.

For our boy we abstained for about 2 weeks before O and targeted for O and got our boy.

Should I do frequent release up until O for a girl? Should I try cut off? should I try 0+12?.

    I'm so confused. lol

    TIA!

    welcome!

I don't think obsessing sways blue at all, all the evidence I've seen shows that stress sways pink and I think obsessing is more similar to getting stressed than it is to getting competitive.

Timing generally isn't thought to sway, have a read here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html
it was quite probably your other lifestyle factors that swayed blue for you before

frequent release will lower sperm count and that will sway pink. It doesn't need to be daily BD provided he at least releases + discards each day and you can then decide how many attempts you want. A single attempt is thought to sway pink best, but often that can make it really hard to conceive so you might want to get a few more attempts in to up your chances of pregnancy unless you're not in a rush or unless you feel very naturally fertile

when swaying pink, the most common approach currently seems to be to either BD every day in the fertile window, or have one or two attempts starting at the first positive OPK

if you've been on the LE diet you don't have to worry about calc+mag supps

we actually did a lazy girl sway this time. after 10 years of failed boy sways i was content being a girl mom. we did shuttles. all the girls were conceived on O day but this little guy was conceived 5 days before O. with a 14 days abstiance. i would def do o+12 with frequent release. they say o+12 is better but again this is your least importnant factor. i would focus more on diet and suppliments. good luck hun. if i can help any please let me know. i never tried the sylk or rephresh. i did always use the vitex and vit b6 with the girls. but it can mess with your cycle. i had late O because of it.

    Hi Lauri,

I totally agree with you that you MUST avoid stress and swaycession to TTC a girl. The kind of stress that you get from swaying is NOT the kind of stress that sways pink...the detail-oriented, tackling a challenge sort of stress that you get from swaying totally 100% without doubt raises testosterone and sways BLUE, not pink. Chronic stress where you have no control over your very existence does sway pink, but that is not the kind of stress you get when you sway. I have seen many perfect sways fail and then the same person turned around and conceived a girl 100% accidentally eating straight off the boy diet and doing everything wrong.

I do not believe that timing sways in any way and the essay that Rainbow posted explains why. Also read these three essays on O+12 (also has how-to if you wanted to see how complicated it is)http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...ry-o-12-a.html (that's the first one and there are links to the other two) and you will see that O+12 is based on terrible science, is totally unsupported by facts, and has so many downsides to it that it's just not worth it. "They" who say O+12 is best, is not the "they" on THIS site! O+12 is very stressful and it is exactly the type of detail-oriented, obsessive stress that sways blue. O+12 also makes it extremely difficult for many people to get pregnant at all.

Regarding calcium, the jury is out on that. I personally do not believe calcium sways pink and may even sway blue and you can read about why that is here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html (another 3-parter, sorry for length but you will truly understand the reasons why I don't think cal sways, after reading them!) The fact is that some people have taken cal-mag and gotten girls, so I am not saying you should or shouldn't do it, I just want you to have both sides of the story and then to make up your mind what feels right to you.

All the info about frequency patterns and how to use them in your sway is here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...pink-blue.html and here is another one that tells about how to mix cutoff and O+12 with frequency http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...ff-o-12-a.html

If you are eating meat, that's not the LE Diet and you need to drop the meat all together. Also when you have your dairy, make sure you're fitting into the LE Diet guidelines - 40-50 g protein, 1500-1800 cals, 700-1000 mg sodium, and always choose skim dairy. Dairy is NOT a free food (and contrary to popular belief, it's not free on the French or Ingender Diets either) and by overdoing it with dairy, you can wreck an otherwise great sway.

    benefiber!
320 mg SP is perfect and here is the SP essay with probably more than you ever wanted to know
    http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...depth-how.html

Will you be taking vitex too? http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...nces-here.html

Keep asking questions and everything will soon fall into place.

Thanks Atomic! I really appreciate all the time and effort you have put into this site, and trying to help everyone.

I honestly dont eat meat that often and can totally due without it. Maybe once or twice a week and only for dinner, and very small portions. My dairy is pretty much all low fat or fat free, and I'm well within the LE diet range.

My cycles are pretty reg so I'm going to hold off on vitex this month, but should I add aspirin? and if so how much and how often?

It is fine to take vitex whether your cycles are regular or not. Vitex actually sways pink, it's for more than just regulating cycles. Up to you of course but just wanted to make sure you had the right info.

To add aspirin, start by taking 1 low dose 70-80 mg aspirin a day, twice a week. If you tolerate it without bleeding/bruising, you can increase it to 3, 4, 5 a week over the span of a few weeks (no more than that because pretty much everyone under the age of 50 has bleeding if they take it every day.) At any point if you start having bruising, drop back to the previous level of aspirin and stay there.

When you say tackling challenges kind of stress sways blue would moving count ? I have been swaying girl since April and trying this month and next but now I am worried . With out planning we suddenly purchased a property and Im scrambling to make everything work as we have to sell our house with in a month . This last week has been an extreme amount of stress and challenges and I don't foresee it calming down for a while . Should I just hold off ttc ? I feel I've worked towards my sway and now this is compromising my sway .

Here is the thing, though. Stress can also sway pink too (probably by gently suppressing your fertility) and we honestly can't say where you are at.

Swaying is kind of like an iceberg. The stuff we see is just this teensy bit sticking up out of the water but then there is this whole big mass of stuff happening under the water. If you feel good about your attempt otherwise and want to try, go for it. It very well may be that you are pink friendly this month and then skip it only to end up TTC in a month that is even worse! Don't get so focused on what you can see that you forget about the stuff that we don't even know about, that may have put you into a pink-friendly zone without even knowing.
