This will be my first month TTC. Trying to sway blue, so trying to follow the HE diet.
I'm struggling with two issues though:
1. After losing our first born two days before his due date in April, I'm still struggling to find much of an appetite. So trying to eat HE isn't exactly the easiest.
2. I had gastric sleeve surgery a few years ago, so I can't eat a ton at once, especially if it's something filling like meat or starches.
At some point each day I have my Premier Protein shake (30g protein) with a banana and ice, other than that, it just sort of depends on the day. I definitely eat way more than that in a day, but it's not possible to eat a full 6 oz steak meal with potatoes and veggies. It's more like a protein bar here, some pineapple there. 2-3 oz chicken and some salad for lunch, something similar for dinner.
Any suggestions on how to eat a HE diet? Thanks!

From my reading, many boy mums seemed to be all day snackers so don't think its essential to be sitting down and eating large formal meals. Perhaps you could prepackage a number of small healthy, nutrient dense snacks to eat regularly throughout the day with partciular times allocated to each? If you aim to have the most nutrient rich foods maybe that may make up for not always making the calorie recommendations. Aim to have both protein and carbs with each meal/snack. GL

so sorry to hear about your baby boy marcci
im not a blue swayer but i have 4 boys and as miamelb said i never ate large meals, i have a small appetite and cant stand eating a large amount of food in one go, i also hate feeling full so i used to not really bother with meals and instead just pick at food here and there throughout the day, its a similar story for many of the boy mums on here.
good luck with your sway and i hope you get your little boy xxnow 6blue5pink

That's fine. What matters is what works for YOUR body, not anyone else's. Your body doesn't compare you to me or anyone else, it has no way of knowing what other people are eating, it only knows what you are eating and if you're eating lots of good healthy food for YOU then that is all that matters.
Skip the starch. Starch is not necessary for making boys and the whole idea that potatoes and yes, even bananas make boys is not borne out by the facts (and happy to explain if you'd like.) You're way better off eating more nutrient dense things like blueberries or having that steak/veg with a glass of orange juice than a heavy potato.!!!
