    Extra Supps on top of prenatal or multi

    What are supplements that you should be taking extra of on top of the prenatal? Either through diet or pill. Example, Folic acid. Women's 1 a day has 800mcg but that is all for the day. Should I be taking an extra Folic Acid pill ontop of that to reach around 2,000? Same for Omega 3 fatty Acids, should I be taking an extra supplement ? I think I pretty much have a good chart made but it doesn't take in count for the prenatal, only If I were to take each needed supplement separately.

    Yes, take extra folic acid or folate (and if you take them at a different time of day you'll get better absorption)

    And yes most people do take an extra Omega 3, DHA or fish oil type supp. I am finding that the once recommended 1000 mg seems to be way way too much and I'm having people do more like 250-500 max.
