What are supplements that you should be taking extra of on top of the prenatal? Either through diet or pill. Example, Folic acid. Women's 1 a day has 800mcg but that is all for the day. Should I be taking an extra Folic Acid pill ontop of that to reach around 2,000? Same for Omega 3 fatty Acids, should I be taking an extra supplement ? I think I pretty much have a good chart made but it doesn't take in count for the prenatal, only If I were to take each needed supplement separately.

Yes, take extra folic acid or folate (and if you take them at a different time of day you'll get better absorption)
And yes most people do take an extra Omega 3, DHA or fish oil type supp. I am finding that the once recommended 1000 mg seems to be way way too much and I'm having people do more like 250-500 max.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
