I've been on the LE diet for a few days now but finding I fall WAY short on fat every time. I'm really trying to get it up to a good level but haven't found any foods that really up it for me. Any suggestions?

Butter or margarine, oil, salad dressings, dairy foods, nuts, eggs
Please do not feel you need to eat all or only (or ANY) fat free foods. You don't.
Many of the things that people have trouble with is because they're being overly strict on LE. Can you tell me more about what YOU think LE Diet is???!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks! I think I'm trying to incorporate those things but I was caught in the trap of filling up on foods with higher calories but low protein and fat. I probably did went too strong on the LE diet as I'm figuring it out. My overall guiding goal is 1800-2000 calories, 270-540g of fat and 40-50g of protein. I also had tried to keep sodium around 700-1000mg but that is my least concerning area and I don't mind it going over.
I'm currently breastfeeding and don't have much weight to lose. My first few days I've delayed my breakfast aside from a coffee (went from cream to skim milk and then back to cream again for the fat). I am having two or three meals a day. No meat at all. I was trying to eat foods with low protein and low fat but I wasn't eating enough by the end of the day. I managed to get the protein back but now I'm working on getting enough fat.

Oh dear! Mom brain! I only now just realized I misread what my numbers should be for fat. Ha! I guess it will be a lot easier to get 30-60g..... go figure!

I asked you this in another thread already but do you mean calories from fat??? Or are you using some other kind of way to measure fat? We do 30-60 g fat on LE Diet usually.
That is def. one of the pitfalls on LE Diet - people assume they have to eat only low fat and low protein foods but that's only AFTER you have hit the minimums!! So yes do make some changes like going to cream instead of skim milk and stuff along those lines.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
