I am TTC after 2 miscarriages. I am taking 1500 mg metformin, 5mg femara, and 81mg aspirin. Is that okay? They don't know why I had the miscarriages so I just started taking the baby aspirin as a precautionary and wanted to make sure it's okay with my other medications.

Have you had any testing to see if you have clotting disorders?? That is the first step. I can't support the use of baby aspirin, especially not daily, without having that testing because some newer evidence has shown that for many people, it is actually more harmful than helpful possibly even causing miscarriages. Your blood being too thin is just as bad if not worse as being too clotty for a baby to implant. So if you do want to use it I"d back off to 2-3 times a week. And then at BFP gradually wean off by spacing doses furhter and further out till down to one per week, then drop them. Don't ever just quit aspirin suddenly.
I also want you on folate instead of folic acid - that is way more important than baby aspirin!
FX and TX too for a sticky bean soon.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I haven't had any testing at all, I noticed when I get my finger pricked, it clots quickly so I just thought "it cant hurt to try." Im desperate to do anything to prevent another miscarriage. I just bought folic acid, so I need to quit the folic acid and buy folate instead? And only take the asprin 3 times a week max? Thank you for your help!

that doesn't tell you anything, though. You need the testing to know for sure because let's say you don't have blood that clots easily and then you take the aspirin and your body gets too thin and doesn't clot easily enough. That is not any better and may even be worse than if you had done nothing at all, if that makes sense.
Yes I would take only folate with the history of losses. Even in your prenatal you probably need to find one without folic acid.
Have you had your thyroid tested??!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Why shouldn't you take folic acid after previous losses Atomic? I've been taking folic acid for months now and I'm currently in the 2ww (having taken clomid this cycle and also on metformin) should I switch to folate now?
