How do you ladies take coffee?

I’ve been enjoying an am and afternoon coffee with a flavored creamer for months without thinking through this. I do this before eating my breakfast and in between lunch and dinner for some caffeine.

Am I doing this wrong? Should I be doing a sugar free something?

Thanks for all of your replies on my recent messages!

This is, of course, breaking my fast at 6:30/7am (from eating dinner at 6/7 the previous evening) by having coffee with flavored creamer (like the terrible artificial kind)before I eat food around 10:30/11.

I drink coffee with creamer around 8 30am every morning! I count the calories in the creamer and I don't eat anything till noon.

I always had black coffee while swaying but that's because I don't even like creamer or artificial sugars. I still drink it black now. I've tried to have milk in it and it makes me feel sick every time. If you're having just a splash of creamer it's probably fine as it's likely only a few added calories. It's only if your coffee is like half creamer then I think it'd be an issue drinking it between all your meals.

    My pleasure!

how many cals in the creamer?

Most of these are fine, some of them have quite a lot of calories (in the form of sugar) so just want to be sure you're not getting too many cals (because that would basically be breakfast).

For the most part I like you guys to stick with no sweetener or artificial sweetener in the morning. But personally, I chose to have regular sugar in morning coffee, even though it was technically a cheat. I did get a girl doing this and while I don't recommend it officially, it really helped me to stick to the diet in other ways and it worked out.

How many calories is "too much"? I drink 1 cup coffee with 2 tablespoons creamer which equals to 70 calories

We don't know, but I think that is fine, since so many people are doing that amount of cals from milk or creamer in a coffee.

I take about the same but I usually have TWO coffees with that amount in-between eating.

You might want to "pick your battles" here and have just the one in the morning. You don't have to be perfect on diet all the time, but at the same time if you can live without one or both of the "snacky" coffees, great.

If you are allowed soy milk or DH has it around for his part of the sway, consider trying that. Silk vanilla soy milk is sweetened a bit and I think 4 Tablespoons is 25 calories (3 carb, 1 fat, 2 protein). I find it pretty good in my desperately needed morning coffee.
