My doctor suggested I start anxiety medications after my DS#3 Is born in April. I'm planning on starting a girl sway when he is about 8/9 months old. Will taking these meds have any effect on my sway? I'm not going to compromise my mental health for my sway obviously. Iv had very effective anxiety control using behavioural coping techniques. Just wondering if this will have any impact on my sway Or not. Thanks![]()

They sway pink anyway. You will probably need to be off of them for TTC so you will need to have a plan in place about whne and how to do that (you can't just stop taking them suddenly once you get pregnant!)

Thanks so much for the reply. How come I will have to be off them when TTC? I'm sure I'll learn more about them from my doctor once I start. Just curious. Are they toxic to the fetus?

There's believed to be some risk and most docs will want you off of them when you're ready to TTC. You can't just stop taking them, so you need to have a plan in place with your doctor about when and how to come off of them.

Ok. I guess I'll cross that bridge with in get there at the end of this year. If im off them then I guess they will be out of my system by the time I start my sway and therefore probably won't sway pink after all? I have so much to learn! Thanks for your help!

We don't know how long the effects last. Many of these things have effects that last a while even after you stop taking them.
