Hello,
So I finally was able to test my pH (using these nasty little strips not even proper pH strips). The lowest they go is 5 and mine didn't even change colour
It was the last day of AF (sorry if TMI) I'm wondering if that is why it was so low
I plan to test it again in a couple of days, in the meantime what is your pH at the beginning of your cycle?
Thank you!
Results 1 to 8 of 8

If it was last day of af, was there any blood?
pH of blood is constant and it is 7.35-7.45. Of course af blood may be influenced by vaginal pH, but it should be somewhere around 7. Maybe you have low ionic strength CM ( or something like that) in which case pH can't be measured with pH strips. Maybe change a brand of strips?
I measure my CM pH only around ovulation and results are around 6I'm aiming for 7 lol!

Oh my O.o lol this doesn't sound good at all! lol
I can't get any other pH strips here and I'm doing a last minute sway so I don't have time to order any online! I've tried the long drawn out sways and it just messes with my head >.< I'm doing a heavy pray mild sway this time ^.^
Good luck with your sway! I hope we all get our boys this month

ive never really tested at the beginning o fmyc ycle bc im too chickent o go in there when its all dry-ish. so i also only test close to ovulation. but remmeber that pH isnt proven. so if youre still worried, just do the bsd, lemon water or whatever supps youre doing to increase your pH anyway and dont wprry about testing. its hard to listen to advice like that if you want to do things "right" the first time. im in my 2nd attempt so i am defly more lax now. if someone told me dont worry about pH during 1st attempt id say.."well hmph..i REALLY want *my* boy"

Ok, this is my second attempt and to be honest I concentrated really hard on pH last time and got a girl. I'm concentrating on diet and ions this time. I can't concentrate on too many things at once it drives me nuts and stresses me out.
I hope we all get our boys

First of all, those strips aren't the greatest so it may have nothign to do with your pH and everything to do with the strips being cruddy.
Secondly, your pH will DEF. be lower right after AF (unless like Zivic says, there was actual blood) because the normal pH of the vjj is 4.5-5. At ovulation, EWCM will appear and that will be a lot more alkaline. DON'T PANIC!
I also am starting a thread in the Gender Swaying Discussion about this because I know of a LOT of people who conceived pH opposites. Honestly, if no one ever checked pH, I would be happy with that. I think it gives people a false sense of security when all they're testing is the pH of the BSF they just used, and for others, just makes them so uptight about it even though they'd prob. conceive their DG anyway.!!!
