    Hi Atomic,

Yes! I do but no one responded so I gave up haha.

I was looking for anyone who used softcups. I’m ttc boy, and this is my first time using them. I felt like when I inserted after BD all of the sperm was getting away. I was just wondering if anyone also felt like they were losing swimmers but still got a BFP. I’ve tried 2 ways since getting a positive OPK: 1. Insert EW inside of me before BD and insert softcup right after BD with EW in the softcup and 2. Insert EW before BD and have dh deposit into cup add EW then insert (in which I felt like I lost some sperm while inserting). I’m just hoping to get a BFP. This will be my first.

    Thanks!

I'm just one person, it sometimes takes me more than a few hours to respond. And while there are lots of other people on here who respond to questions sometimes they're busy or the people online don't know the answer or else they wait for me to go first. It was also locked which is really easy to do accidentally, and this means I can answer but other people can't. i unlocked it for you so others can reply. I know we did have a blue swayer just get a girl using the cup so hopefully she'll see this and chime in.

That is one of my huge issues with the cups. I hate the cups in part for this very reason - many people will lose more semen trying to put the darn things in than if they had just BD and stayed laying flat afterwards! Even when you aren't having hubby ejaculate in the cup, you lose semen putting them in (or I did anyway when I tried it.) Then, to make matters worse, you're spilling it out all over inside the vagina as well losing more along the way, and then the cup will seal shut against the cervix, effectively sealing sperm OUT instead of sealing them IN which is how people picture the cups to work.

Now, let's talk about egg whites. Egg whites are NOT EWCM. Sperm is not made to swim through them, they're entirely chemically different from cervical mucus and semen. We had less than optimal rates of conception for people using egg whites. They are additionally very dangerous because of their high pH. They are the perfect medium for growing microorganisms in (and in fact this is where they grow microbes to make vaccines with!) They are possibly contributing to infections which may cause miscarriages and I have a thread about that here - https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...re-get-pg.html (scroll down to see the discussion of egg whites, salmonella, and miscarriage)

I would really advise simply BD naturally (or if DH can't BD naturally for some reason just use the ol' turkey baster, LOL) and then laying flat for 30 minutes or more with your hips propped and also part of the time on your tummy for best chances of conception.

Most of the baby boys ever conceived - in fact, practically all of them! - were to couples who did NOT use egg white or cups or anything and just BD the old fashioned way. Good luck and blue dust.
