Hi everyone, I’ve read mixed reviews about preseed on amazon and want to hear about your experiences positive or negative with it. Thinking of adding it to my boy sway next month if I don’t get a positive this month. Thanks!

If you have a good level of EWCM you don't need Preseed for a blue sway. Totally fine to leave it out.

May I ask what reviews were troubling you specifically (well, not the reviews but what they were about?) Many times I can ease your mind about things that are misleading (like those who say "I used Preseed and had a miscarriage" - Preseed does not cause miscarriage) or help you use it in ways to prevent the complaints that some have with it.

That’s the thing I’m not really sure if I’m producing enough. I usually notice some for two days but it’s only like once or twice a day that it’s enough to notice. Could I be making enough and it just not be noticeable on toilet paper? I did read several things about miscarriage with it and it did kind of scare me but I figured there was no way it could be related. I also read a couple about uti’s and yeast infections, I already get yeast infections somewhat frequently so that made me nervous. Sorry for the paragraph lol!

Also do you think it’s better to insert it or use it as a regular lube?

I used it when I got pregnant with both of my boys. I used it as a regular lube and did not insert. I personally never had any issues like the ones mentioned. Good luck!

If you're noticing it AT ALL then it's probably enough. 2 days is GREAT. But I can understand, if you got girls with that amount in the past, you may feel like "well maybe I need more than that". But we have seen SOOOOO many CM opposites (including my own - I got a boy with NO visible CM and I was checking my pH 2-3 times a day! My pH never went up, I saw no CM at all, and didn't even know I was ovulating and I am an "expert" LOL!) that it's impossible for me to believe that we can really tell anything about what gender a person will conceive based on the amount of their CM.

You might want to try adding in guaifenesin instead of the Preseed and see if you notice an increase.

While I do believe that egg whites and to a lesser extent baking soda may contribute to miscarriage by causing pH to go sky high and favoring overgrowth of microbes that can cause uterine infections, Preseed doesn't have higher than normal pH and can't do that and I don't see any connection between Preseed and miscarriage. The UTI and YI, on the other hand, can be caused by normal range pH and I do agree Preseed can trigger those (but then again, so does CM...I've never used Preseed in my life and yet about 4-6 months a year get a YI right after I ovulate!)

I think using the Preseed as a lube is best becaue many people have found the full applicator to be too much of a good thing...to be too messy/slippery and their husbands even have trouble achieving orgasm because of that. Plus, it may dilute the sperm/semen combo to use too much. I'd just use a quarter size blob either for you or on DH as a lube.

That helps a lot, I’ll just try Mucinex. This would be our first baby, I already was eating a pretty boy friendly diet just tweaked some things and added probiotics. Thank you! Is 1200mg of mucinex once a day fine? It’s just guaifenesin as the active ingredient.

Yes that's the max safe dose, so no more than that!
