    Sperm

Hi Atomic...I was hoping you clear something up for me. I do know that regular ejaculation of sperm is healthy for the sperm itself, and kind of helps clear "abnormal" sperm. I have been wondering though, we may ttc this cycle, Im on my first day of my period now and have been ovulating a few days after my period ends, and I have been thinking more about this. My concern is with the amount of ejaculation my husband has...which is not enough. With the work he does, he works two jobs and isnt home much at night. when he is it just doesnt happen because I pass out instantly, lifes been busy.
He says he doesnt release on his own, I do believe him as its against his beliefs (I know alot of people say that but still do it) But knowing him as a person , and I feel bad as the times he wants to do it Im way too tired lately. So my deal is if he actually does not release and lets just say for the sake of this question that he does in fact go weeks at a time without release,
could this cause a potential problem with the pregnancy? you know of our future losses (last was umbillical cord accident) but it only now occurred to me that maybe there is something he can do to help... could this cause a potential problem for a pregnancy? or just create an unhealthy pregnancy? I dont nessisarily mean defects or issues that occur after 35, but just cause complications?
Although like I said we were thinking to try this month, but if it makes a difference to wait to make sure we have him release more often I can do that. But Id like to know if it makes a big difference... would it be enough to just have him release a few times before our 1st attempt?
    He is 33 right now.

Even for men over 35 the chance of that happening is minuscule. The reason I have people avoid it is because abstain doesn't even work and so I would never have anyone take even a very minor chance for something that doesn't even sway (plus, husbands super hate it and it also cuts odds of conception considerably)

I think you are overthinking this. Trust me, if I had any evidence that abstaining or small amounts of semen had a high likeliehood of causing issues with a pregnancy I would be jumping up and down and screaming about it from the top of my lungs for people not to do it!

AT 33, I would not bother to change your patterns. Maybe he can clean the pipes once a week with your help, but that's enough. And releasing right before doesn't do anything for you so please don't have him do that - you're still going to have a lot of old sperm in there (sperm isn't in compartments, one release doesn't get rid of all the old sperm!) and then you've additionally cut odds of conception too, because there will be fewer sperm on hand.
