I have been trying for 10 months and on clomid, halfway LE dieting for 4 months. I’m catching myself snacking more and more and allowing a bit more meat into my diet. I am tempted to just throw out the diet altogether and stay on the clomid? I don’t know what to do! We are a family of meat eaters! Meet, eggs, nuts...we live on that stuff so it is so hard to stay strong when I am just not getting pregnant! Advice? Words of wisdom? Encouragement? Anything would help!
Thank you for listening to my rant [emoji854]

Unfortunately I have no advice but I know the feeling of being so over the diet. I’m vegan so I enjoy the food but hate the no snacking. I’ve been so good with the rules but for some reason today was not easy.

How strict are you? What limits are you staying in throughout the day? Maybe there is a little wiggle room somewhere for you. Before stopping the diet all together I would at least see if you could stick to it but add in a cheat day a week to curb the cravings.

I agree with ThinkingofPink. Add a cheat day so you can stay on the diet. Atomic always says one day is not going to have a deleterious effect because if only one day mattered we would only need to change our diet for one day.
I am able to deal with not snacking by drinking hot water and a little ginger. Can you try to add something like a glass of water or sparkling water before you eat the snack? Or maybe atomic has a suggestion for a snack that doesn't spike your blood sugar?

My typical day consist of coffee as soon as I wake up with a slash of almond milk, if I had my last meal at 7:00 the day before I will make myself some egg whites with spinach or an English muffin with jam around 9:00, otherwise I’ll go to the gym and eat something like veggies with hummus around 11:30 and maybe a tortilla crisped up with iced coffee. I try to hold off on eating again until dinner which is typically a veggie, rice or potatoes and some kind of meat. I just give myself smaller proportions. If I’m still hungry after the kids go to bed I have nonfat Greek plain yogurt with frozen berries. [emoji51]
Most days I am good about snacking but I have been sick and I’ve just been eating around the clock little things like saltines, plain pasta, soup etc and now homemade oatmeal cookies from my mother. I know oatmeal is bad so I won’t have more than 2!
Any recommendations??

Diet coke is good to help between meals! Or how about a coffee. Are you eating your calorie allowance maybe that's why you're hungry? You're doing great though!! Are you on Clomid for swaying then? Sure atomic will have lots of advice x

Yes I have been having Diet Pepsi here and there and I have about 3 cups of coffee/day. And in regards to the clomid, yes and no. I have unexplained infertility. My first son was unexpected (birth control baby), my second son took 2 years and 3 rounds of clomid and my 3rd son (heart stopped at 18 weeks) was unexpected. I seem to ovulate just fine but just can’t get pregnant! I think we may have to test hubbys sperm next.
Thank you girls for all this advice. I can’t tell you how much it helps!

Check with atomic first though about adding the ginger. I only *just* started doing it (before I was drinking plain hot water) and I add the tiniest amount but I wouldn't want to mess up your sway if it's a no-no
For me, hot water eases hunger better than cold water and I can't stand pop so all I am saying is before you reach for the snack, if you can just drink something (sounds like you already do that with pop/coffee?) and see if you can avoid the snack, you will probably feel less stressed about when you do really need that snack, you know?
It was only when I stopped tracking (but still skipped breakfast and no snacks) that I got pregnant (even though it was a CP). I had a pretty good idea of what to eat after 6 months on the diet and I really don't worry if I eat some chicken/salmon at one of my meals because it's such a small portion I really can't believe it's going to convince my body times are suddenly good. I was eating some kind of meat at every meal before swaying and I was a cereal addict!
Good luck
