Does a failed morning after pill (emergency contraception) sway at all?

If there's a study out there I couldn't find it in a reasonable time of searching.
This is not the type of sway tactic I'd ever recommend, of course, because there would be a preponderance of losses and potential for birth defects (depending on the type of pill taken).!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Ooh no this wasnt a sway tactic, this pregnancy is just a result of the morning after pill failing. Hopefully it wont cause any harm [emoji26]
Just wondered if the hormones may have swayed blue or pink x

We just don't have the data to say if they sway, I'm sorry.
The good news is that so far the data is that the morning after pills with progestin don't hurt the baby if you remain pregnant after taking it. https://www.webmd.com/sex/birth-cont...ing-after-pill https://ec.princeton.edu/questions/bdfect.html https://ec.princeton.edu/questions/EC-review.pdf
The Misoprostil/Mifepristone in combination or alone is what causes the birth defects https://www.thelancet.com/journals/l...300-5/fulltext but most people in the US are not given that as a morning after pill (in other countries they're still used as morning after pills, oftentimes black market in countries where abortion is not legal) and are generally administered only for ectopic pregnancies.
Sorry, I should have expained that at the beginning, I didn't mean to scare you, but I thought this was more of a hypothetical question.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

After a bit more internet searching it seems the reason it failed was because I must have already ovulated (all this pill does it delay ovulation but if you have already ovulated or LH has already started to rise it won't do anything. Pharmacist never told me that!)
So I must have DTD and gotten pregnant dead on ovulation. I kind of feel like baby will be a boy for that reason which is silly because I know timing doesnt matter and actually this was just a one time DTD.
I have slight preference for a girl this time for my daughter to have a sister. I'm sure I read that you conceived your daughter right on ovulation Atomic?
I had a miscarriage in September and actually wanted to leave a little longer before getting pregnant again, hence the emergency contraception, but obviously this baby wanted to be here [emoji173]
Sorry for rambling!

Some people think it also interferes with implantation (this has been debunked, but beliefs have a way of hanging on) so they still give it after the fact even though it's not specifically how it works. There's also the fact that most women have nothing like our knowledgeability of their cycles so many women who think they know where they are in the cycle have no clue and so they give it regardless.
Yes I got my daughter very late at night on O-1, but it was like 1 am which makes it technically O Day. My O Day was confirmed by ultrasound too so I know for a fact the timing on her.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
