    High testosterone

Just wondering, how can I reduce my testosterone? I definately have high testosterone, am the dominant female type, blow up over little things etc and I really want to reduce it. I am taking Saw Palmetto and Vitex, can these help? I know on IG they say the IG diet helps with hormones but if you are following the LE diet does that still help with hormones? Is there anything else I can do other than relaxation stuff like lavender etc?

Yes it is pretty much LE I am doing, I am eating no meat at all. Plain foods, not much of them. Little nutrients etc. I am 7 1/2 weeks from ttc. I have been cutting stuff out/restricting certain foods from Jan but will be doing it 100% from next week. I do feel less stressed but still get my off days, especially as AF approaches. That spironolactone sounds really good for when I am not ttc or pregnant I will bare that in mind. I have started my SP and vitex but only this cycle so will see if that helps as I continue on it, thanks xx

The vitex and SP can help with testosterone issues because of their estrogenic effects, but diet is another important factor as is stress control and anything that helps you relax. Exercise can help tremendously, at least with girls with PCOS, but I think that is usually a no-no with girl swaying.

Because I have PCOS, a low carb and low dairy diet helps me control my testosterone, but if your testosterone is more stress related, a low carb and low dairy diet may not help you.

I had to tell my workout guy I have to stop for at least 6 weeks because we are going to try to sway for a girl and that this work out builds muscle which increases testosterone. He was really good about the whole thing. But I felt very strange after and still right now... like I am amazon women that is trying to decrease my testosterone and trying some voodoo swaying method or something. I feel sort of like the odd ball already with 3 sons and everyone thinking good luck with that because it will probably be a boy.... rah..
Yep I know that feeling! I have 2 sons and I just know I will get everyone thinking/assuming no3 will be a boy!! I think I will find it really hard not to get obsessive when we start to bd end of April, I will try really hard not to. Its so hard to go against your natural 'ways' if you see what I mean!

I think I am going to have to try to do anything that helps me relax!! Tenfold! Its funny because the girls on my team at work with boys are the stressed out argumentative ones but the ones with girls are the much more relaxed, quiet type. How are you doing low carb and low dairy on the LE diet? I am eating quite a bit of pasta and yoghurt, I am wondering if I am affected by that x

The LE diet doesn't totally work for me. I had a big, existential swaying crisis trying to figure out how to get around the LE diet without eating a lot of meat and keeping carb intake to a minimum. If I sway again, rainbowflower suggested eating non-animal proteins so I will probably do that. I already skip meals all the time and when I do eat, my calorie intake is low, so those are two major components that are supposed to help a girl sway.

The LE Diet is MUCH better at lowering testosterone and estrogen both than the IG Diet is.

Saw palmetto will lower testosterone. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...depth-how.html

Here's a good thread with a lot of tips! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...ne-levels.html This thread discusses how swaying can act to raise T levels in those prone to it and how you can counteract that. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ly-demand.html
