Hi!
Anyone had one? How soon did you ovulate after you had it?
Thanks!

I have had a trigger injection with four of my medicated cycles. Once I didn't O at all from it- maybe I had cysts and not follicles. Once I O'd 7 days later, and again I think a cyst was mistaken for a follicle. And both other times I have O'd within 36-40 hours post the injection like you are supposed to.
Have you had the trigger?

Thank you NBP
Bec, how would I know if they were cysts as I originally had 2 follicles and one turned out to be a cyst. I don't know if the second one is a cyst, it grew to 20mm but I had to take the trigger shot to make it release. I don't think I have ovulated yet, I did the injection at 10 pm on Monday night. If it's a cyst, will be temp fail to rise? Thanks!

Testing progesterone levels on day 21 should tell you if you ovulated. A cyst will not ovulate.

I am on day 20 today! Can a cyst grow like a follicle, what I mean is, the 'follicle' grew in size from day 12 to day 18 and reached 20 mm. Could this still be a cyst?

Yes. Cysts can be estrogen producing or not and they continue to grow like a follicle.

Sorry I'm back with more questions, I'm having such a confusing month, I'm beginning to feel this cycle is a bust. This morning my temp dropped back down, I've read this could be a fallback temp but I had a quick check of my cervix and it's not firm and closed. Does it look like that was a cyst after all? Is there anyway I could still ovulate or is it too long after the trigger shot? I had the injection on Monday at 10 pm and it's now Friday morning. I got a positive opk on Tuesday but presumably you get that anyway with a trigger? I know tomorrow's temp will reveal more but I'm driving myself crazy. Any help very much appreciated!!!

Trigger shot can make your temp rise and then you get a fallback when it's out of your system before the corpus luteum can take over. That doesn't mean you didn't ovulate tho, just that the temps are screwy because of the trigger.
I would never go off of cervix texture to determine ovulation. Sometimes you just take a bit longer for cervix to firm up and close.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
