I am shocked because I accidentally just saw the results if genetic testing, and I am having a boy. Part of the shock is boy in part of the shock is accidentally finding out by seeing it on my computer chart. I wish I had been more careful. This morning I'm going in for a prenatal appointment and will hopefully hear a heartbeat (SCH condition greatly increases odds of missed miscarriage.) I was hoping to find out about having a healthy baby before finding out the sex. So my sway failed again and this means I will never have a daughter. I wasn't ready to hear that.
And now I have to go to work in one minute. I'm kind of in shock. I know this will be okay in the end but right now I just feel alarmed. Deep breath. I'll let you know how the appointment goes soon.

I have one little boy. He's four. Last time I swayed I was so surprised to find out that I got an opposite but within a few weeks I felt okay. This is our last pregnancy as I'm nearly 40 and don't feel I have it in me to try again, even if we could financially afford it. I think part of what I'm sad about isn't just having no daughter but imagining that if I ever get to be a grandmother I won't have experience of having a daughter with a baby. Somehow it seems different to be the mother of the new father, you know? Of course I might never be a grandmother anyway. It looks like I'll have to keep buying my niece cute little girl clothes and learn to love being the mother of two boys, if I'm lucky and this baby is healthy.

I think boys always need at least one brother... (if there is someone reading this with only one son its ok too [emoji38]) but brothers bring out the best in boys.
They are more active, more coordinated as they are always playing ball with each other, they defend each other at school, the youngest one plays with oldest one’s friends and vice versa...
If its one boy and one girl, is really nice obviously for the mom but for them... I think this is better [emoji4]
I think you may be luckier than you think!!!

@gafan Huge hugs!!! I've been then and honestly could still be there. I have three boys and I really wanted my 3rd to be a girl but honestly I love that little boy sooooo much it hurts! I'm hoping that we will finally get some pink but who knows this could very well be my fourth boy. I know this is my last baby because I'm getting my tubes tied after my c-section. Huge hugs and we're all here if you need to get anything off your chest.

Here are my pics from my ultrasound today. I think there's a nub in at least of the pictures. What do you all think?

Thanks Happymommy!!! I really hope so! I did send it to the gender experts again and paid $3.99 for a rush but I wonder if they will still tell me girl.

Thanks for the support! I saw a healthy heartbeat and that is good news. It will take awhile to adjust but I know eventually it will be ok.

I'm totally amateur, don't know if what I'm seeing is a nub or part of the leg .. but what I think might be a nub definitely has a girl angle.
