I'm preparing my attempt for next cycle and I'm super paranoid about having only one attempt on opk. I feel like this is how I conceived my boys..but I don't know! But I wasn't dieting or exercising with any of them.
Initially I was thinking of bd everyday after AF until I get a sold smiley on my Cb testand then stopping.
Before my miscarriage I was a regular 28 cycle and I felt I ovulated almost immediately after getting a opk+... I'm not sure if my cycles will now change as I'm still waiting for my first period.
Maybe i just need some reassurance that one attempt at opk+ is the way to go ..and my that my initial plan of bd everyday until solid smile face just won't work?!
I will use CB digital opk again as I had hard time with the strips for a few months. The time I conceived was becusee of CB opk.
Also is there data on CB opks and one attempt and gender result? I did a quick google and I see a lot of people conceived boys on attempt with CB. Maybe CB is picking up too late?
Sorry I'm just nervous

From what i understand its not when you DTD its the one attempt that sways pink. So you either BD every 4 days or make one attempt when you can or ar positive opk which means ovulation is near x

Thanks Nell..thanks what I'm afraid of doing it just one time when ovulation is near..I think I have the shettles method running rbroight my head which I know has been debunked. I'm wondering if doing it everyday before sold smiley and then stopping helps.

From what I understand, shettles has been debunked more because of the concept of timing (O-2+) and the theory that girl sperm are slower and boy sperm are faster.
It seems that the statistics here have shown that one attempt is still the best sway for pink (some women choose to to J+D as well) and if that doesn’t work after a few months, then move to E4D (or start with E4D if you are more comfortable with that).
So yes, one attempt is still the way to go for pink. Good luck!

That's ok, like you say you're probably cautious because that's how you got your boys but i think every day before solid smiley would be blue as its only meant to be one try? Maybe you could make your one attempt when its the flashy smiley face as thats still fertile window?

You could try daily release and one attempt and then if anything, drop the daily release since it’s not really known if it makes that big of a difference.
Here’s a good link where Atomic talks about it:

PLEASE DO NOT BD EVERY DAY. PLEASE do not do that. I have a full explanation of why not to do that in this thread, not the first post but a few down the page. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...nk-lately.html
Diet and exercise are very, Very, VERY important. More important than number of attempts or timing. If you weren't doing diet or exercise, then it's likely that you got your boys not because of one attempt, but in spite of it.
But it's also important to remember that even under ideal circumstances, we have about 30% opposites. For all you know, with one or the other or both boys, one attempt had swayed pink for you but you fell into the opposites group. If swaying could ever be 100% or anything close to it, the whole human race would have died out long ago. We sway to improve our odds, not because we can ever expect 100%, so you can't look back at the things you did in the past and assume anything. Only by looking at the success of certain tactics across the population can we see what things are really working.
Let me tell you the origins of one attempt. During the early days of this site, no one had even guessed number of attempts might sway. So we had people do timing, jelly, frequency, antihistamines, herbs, and a few other tricks to sway, and then when people did not conceive (because those things cut odds of conception) we added attempts.
The results were terrible. 58%, very disappointing. But since we were tracking our results, over the course of 12-18 months it started to become apparent that timing, jelly, frequency, antihistamine, and herbs were not working at all. The same number of people were getting girls with and without them. The only things that were working were time on diet, cardio exercise, and for some reason, one attempt. At that point in time, one attempt was getting 75% success rate! 2 attempts was getting 60% success rate, and 3 attempts fell all the way down to 40% (and this is with otherwise thorough pink sways using all those things we already mentioned, plus diet. exercise was less common then) As soon as I saw that trend, even though I didn't understand why one attempt could sway, I told everyone to stop adding attempts and to stick to one attempt. (and I had people drop those things that hadn't worked to boost odds of conception)
Immediately our results went up and have stayed up ever since. The number of attempts was the only thing we changed and it raised our success rates enormously and consistently for 5 years since. So there is NO WAY that one attempt is swaying blue for people.
Now, if you're worried about having attempt at pos OPK, hey, it's your sway, your way. Have it at a cutoff (and you can do this with the Clearblue by having attempt the second "flashy" smiley instead of the "peak" solid. Totally your choice. But PLEASE do not have attempts daily, that's a MAJOR mistake and if you read that link I'll tell you all the things that can and DO go wrong with daily BD that make it even more blue friendly than it is to start with.
Timing does not work. It just doesn't. I and most of the people on this site have 2-3-4 or more timing opposites and the timing theory is as disproven as it's possible for something to be debunked. You can look up anything you want online but the fact is that unless those people had their ovulation confirmed by ultrasound you have no way to know when they actually ovulated. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...le-timing.html!!! Thank you Atomic! You are so comforting and helpful. It's my paranoia that's getting to me.
I'm trying to figure the whole CB digital vs opk strips. This is where I struggle ..ive read that those that bd on opk+ using CB conceived boys vs those that went off of strips.
Is there any data with one attempt using CB?
Maybe my issue is do I believe the cb or the opk strips and how do I do thay with one attempt
