Did I not ovulate?

I have been doing the LE diet for the past 4 weeks and exercising about 4 times a week for an hour. I got what I thought was my period a few days ago, which would have been 2 days early. It was a bit of light pink spotting and a couple heavier amounts of light pink blood. It lasted about 6 hours and stopped. I figured it would come back, but hasn’t yet. I have never skipped ovulation (other than when breastfeeding), but is this a sign that I didn’t ovulate? I have never had such a light, short period. They are usually regular and last a few days.
I haven’t lost any weight, but naturally have a low weight and am around 18.5 BMI. I’m going to track my ovulation this next month (will be my first time trying this) to see what happens.

That’s kinda what happened to me this last cycle. I have never spotted before a period, but I sure did this time. Or maybe it’s just that I was actually paying attention this time and that this is normal for me. [emoji23] It was on and off spotting for three days until my actual period started. I thought it was for sure implantation spotting, but I never did get that bfp. I just chalked it up to the fact that I’m trying some new things with this gender sway thing and also that I was paying closer attention this time. Who knows though, right?

I should add that when my period did officially start, it was exactly 14 days after the LH surge so I did ovulate. The spotting was 3 days early and that can be considered normal I guess.

It probably wasn't AF then if it was that brief. I had something similar happen to me when I was swaying. Atomic and I figured out it was breakthrough bleeding and not a period. It can happen when your body tries to ovulate but can't. It's also possible your bleeding was from impending ovulation. It's not unusual to have some spotting or light bleeding around ovulation.

Thank you for the insight! I guess I should have waited a day to post, as I just got my period. Assuming I did ovulate then and it was just some spotting for some reason a couple of days early.

I would not be surprised if your actual period still comes within the next couple days. i think this was just a little late LP spotting by what you describe.
