    Immune system seems down

    Hi guys! I've been eating the LE way for 5 weeks now. I've noticed that my immune system seems to struggled, have colds and little illnesses.

    What can I do? I'm keeping my vegi and fruit intake up.

    Can you give me rough estimates of how much protein, fat, and calories you're getting?

    Colds are caused by viruses. If you're exposed to a lot of viruses all at once you can be sick several times in a row, and people often seem to interpret this as being caused by LE Diet, but I have had many a time where I've had several colds in a row and I wasn't on LE Diet and was eating super healthy and taking vitamins.

    If you're eating a reasonably balanced diet like LE you are probably sick because you were exposed to some viruses and not because your immune system is down (especially after only 5 weeks on diet)

    But please give me a review of your nutrient content so I can be sure you haven't cut back too far.

    Thanks for the response! I'm around 50 gr of protein and 50 gr of fat atm (LE PCOS).
    Around 1700 kcal per day.

    Think you are damn right: have my son in the daycare, he keeps bringing back viruses. Poor lite man.

    I felt it might be related to stopping the multivitamin, but indeed maybe to quickly assumed.

    Well, that's a good level of food intake! Keep up the good work.

    You're always welcome to add the multivitamin back in either daily or at 3x a week but I think you put your sway at risk if you do.

    But I haven't taken a multivitamin for 2 years and have not been sick once, while I recall several times when I was taking them, that I was sick constantly. I suspect it is the time of year and having your little one in daycare.

    For all we know this maybe good for your sway. I know it's not fun being sick, I hope you're feeling better soon!
