Sweets without geletin are ok (Tutti Fruttis, Skittles, Fox's Glacier Fruits) so long as you are still within your daily limits for calories - there isn't any protein, fat or sodium in them. It's a good way to get extra calories if you're struggling to get them up with very little else and no nutritional benefit. You musn't snack on them though because it'll keep your blood sugar levels elevated. I used to have a boiled sweet or two after my meal or a handful of tutti fruttis or Skittles for my third 'meal'.
Curry isn't the best choice because garlic and onions are best avoided - something in them increases testosterone - and of course if you're doing LE you'll be vegetarian anyway.
I'm confused though - I thought you were doing IG or are you just doing a combination?!

I think I got that Idea because looking at peoples food plans on the food thread and people on LE eat marshmallows and one lady was eating Sweddish fish everyday and I was like that's a bit ewe.... until it turned out they were sweets! But they are a chewy jelly type sweet in the shape of a fish. So reading this I thought It must not matter on that diet as that's allot of gelatine to be eating on a daily basis!!

Zanacal - thanks for info, basically I'm using ig principles of mainly eating pasta, rice and up to 3tbsp parmasan, but also bearing in mind the le plan as I do think small amounts of non ig stuff won't harm the sway. But I'm lazy so can't be bothered to prepare meals just for me that I won't enjoy anyway, so am just going hardcore from af with sticking to mainly rice or pasta to starve body of as many nutrients as poss. But at the moment I'm in the 2ww (didn't ttc) so have had a few naughty things like curry as I want to save the best diet till after af as I don't have much weight to loose so need to keep loosing the last bit for the ttc cycle. I also need to keep blood sugars low as have pcos so was hoping for fake sugar sweets. I actually had a full fat coke tonight as haven't had much of anything today but from af I will avoid all sugar.

Morning all!
I think exhaustion took over last night because i didn't wake up until 5am to use the toilet and by that point i would normally have been at least twice already, so i was very sore lol but at least i managed to get a good few hours sleep!
What's everyone got planned this weekend?
we're hopefully going to visit our friends up in Newcastle who's just had a baby girl
so i'll get my baby fix

Chocolate if you want fake sugar sweets then go for the diabetic ones. If you want empty calories then go for real sweets. You can't get many empty calories and eat fake sugar as it's low in calories hence it's wide use in diet products unlike real sugar.
Can I ask why you are doing a mixture of both diets? As they are very different and conflicting on their advice and the reasoning behind eating what you can eat. Do you not think it would be easier to stick to one or the other? Otherwise your not really doing either IFYSWIM. Obviously you can sway anyway you like. Or not at all. But just thought i'd mention it because any advice given may not be doing much good if it's not put into action with a specific plan.
Sunset I have a friend coming over who I haven't seen for a year on Saturday and off to London on Sunday to see family and go for a meal so looks like i'll have to have a ''stomach bug'' on Sunday! Have a lovely time visiting your friends, newborns are just so lovely! Just think that will be you in a couple of months!
