    WWYD re diet?

I am already slightly underweight (18.5 bmi) and my normal caloric/protein intake is within the LE diet limits so I am not losing weight, just maintaining. Should I try to lose a couple lbs this week before I ov next weekend and keep it lower after? I have been trying to eat my snack late in the morning and I eat only 1 meal plus a few reg cokes a day so I don't have a lot to cut. I also have been taking B6 to delay ov, vit C rather than cran, and some cal/mag - should I drop all of these this week?

may I ask why you're trying to delay OV?

personally I'd try and lose 1lb before OV but only if you feel you'd be able to regain it back easily in order to lose it again next cycle (if you have one)

I wouldn't try to loe more. If your bmi drops to 17 you are at risk of not ovulating at all. I would maintain everything until after your attempt and then limit calories slightly for a couple days after ov, stresing no snacking and no breakfast.

you're at risk if you're underweight regardless, or even if you're not underweight but have lost 10% of your body weight

I'm trying to delay ov because of holiday travel at my parent's house - usually I have my lh surge at day 11 so I ov 11/12 which would be Thanskgiving/day after (out of town). I tried it last month and it only pushed lh surge to day 13. I eat less on weekends so I prefer it to happen then.

No, you do not need to lose any more weight and please just maintain right where you are.

I don't like anyone to start and stop vitamins suddenly because it's not good for your health, so if you do choose to discontinue these supps, please do so gradually over hte course of 2 weeks to a month.

When my period stopped due to weight loss, I was still in normal BMI, I had just lost a lot and was exercising more than I prob. should have. (I was not swaying or TTC at this time, I just decided to get into good shape!)

Don't overthink your sway (wanting to O on weekends because you eat less) because it's the overall pattern of your eating that counts and not any one or two days.

MPO with B6 was that it didn't delay my O whatsover, but I do hope you update us if you have time and let us know if it worked for you! Good luck!
