Would you say my diet is already girl friendly?

    Hi all,

This is my first post at gender dreaming. I've done some research on ttc girl swaying on ingender.com and am one of the member there. I just happen to find this thread by accident when googling and found a few ladies here whose names look familiar at ingender.com

I am not quite ttc yet as my ds is barely a year old, but I've been doing some practice on the girl diet (ig and acidifying) and would like your opinions. In trivett Willard hypothesis, it is being said that the more nourish the maternal diet of the mother is, the easier it is to conceive male embryos. Vice versa if you want to conceive a girl. As much as I am "believing" myself that my diet when DS' conception happened was so much ttc boy diet alike, but I find it confusing when I want to purposely sway (Esp ttc girl)

Before I was pg with DS, my diet consisted of highly nutritious meals but in much smaller portions and ate frequently. For eg: two multigrain toasts with honey followed by lemon water for breakfast (at 7am!!). For lunch was mixed salad leaves with vegs and chicken breast. Then a handful of nuts for snacks , plus a fruit. Then for dinner it's similar as lunch and I love sweet chili sauce that I used to pour it a lot on my salads. But I never ate much and these were in small/med portion that I was still left feeling hungry going to bed. Although the food that I ate were sooo ttc boy diet, but I thought I didn't nourish myself enough by eating tiny portions. All I felt at that time was just hunger! I was also losing a lot weight by ditching carbs and the tiniest ever in clothes sizing. I thought I should have been able to conceive a girl too? Lol.

Now that I am experimenting myself with the ttc girl diet, here is I do it. For breakfast is always none. The first drink that I swallow is a cup of milk or sometimes coffee by 10 am above. Then followed by lunch, either a large size plain pasta with Parmesan cheese, or two pieces of bread rolls with cheese or plain chicken + cranberry sauce. Then dinner would be another big bowl of pasta plus another bread roll. In between meals I drink milk and yogurt and sometimes munch on chcocolates and low sodium crackers (i can eat up to 4 pieces!) I hardly eat veggies and fruits in girl diet, and the ingredient variety is just much less, there isnt mch seasoning ot sauce used. But I eat "gigantic" portion though and will always go for seconds. In this diet I am never hungry because I get to eat heavy carbs. I am heavier than my first pre pregnancy. But i am still in my ideal weight range and particularly slim but however still a few kgs heavier than before.

Therefore, would you say my diet is already "girl sway" perfect? I am sceptical that I have done it right because big portion might mean more calories as well!

Have I grasped the right concept of girl sway diet?

I would say that most of the food sounds great, minus snacking on chocolate and the coffee. Chocolate does have a fair bit of potasium in it as well as sugar. So a small bit as an ocational treat to keep you on track I would say is ok but not great as a daily thing.

Also I wouldn't go for massive portions as the aim is to keep your blood sugar levels low. So the bigger the portion the longer your blood sugar will be high. I feel very full quickly on the girl diet but I think that's also because my stomach must have shrunk a bit. Also you do want to loose weight as the act of weight loss will hopefully lower your PH.

So keep doing what your doing lots of plain carbs just smaller portions.

So you want to eat enough so you don't feel really hungry but not pile your plate really high with food.

Also just to add not sure if you are aware bread is really high in salt. So you want to try and eat Danish bread or make your own rolls if you are eating it on a daily basis.

When are you planning to start TTC and welcome to DD there are lots of ladies from IG on here, or who first found out about swaying from IG but there are 3 different girl diets on here. The classic IG, LE (low everything diet) and the French diet (also featured on IG)

Just to add my answers are based on me doing the IG diet and the food and portions that go along with that diet. to avoid causing you confusion!

most of the food sounds good, although be careful about eating too much dairy - dairy itself is quite high in sodium and fat, not to mention animal hormones that might affect your own hormone levels.

if you want to follow the trivers-willard style of diet it's probably best to read into the LE (low everything) diet that is quite popular on this forums.

To me it sounds exactly like how I was eating when I had the 3 girls in a row I also gained weight with the carbs but I think it was bad weight rather than useful blue weight. So in essence your body is losing its nutrition and muscle mass but gaining some useless fat in its place, which in turn makes you/me lazier so losing more muscle mass again. The chocolate I think even helped me in the pink zone as it would keep my blood sugar nice and all over the place lol. I would definately put you firmly from the blue zone to the pink zone, gl xx

I agree, I would continue just maybe with smaller portions. Look in the diet sections here to get a better idea. It's good you have time to play around with it!

When you sway pink, you should NEVER be eating more of anything (inc. calories) than you were when you conceived your boys. One class of sways I've seen fail a lot were people eating just tons of food because they thought the foods themselves were girl-friendly. There ARE no magic foods, it's your overall diet that counts. If you're slim to begin with though, it's a balancing act because you don't want to cut back too far and stop ovulating.

You can absolutely conceive a boy eating off the "girl diet" and vice versa, it's just that for most people, less nutrients coming in means more girls conceived. Not 100%. If swaying were ever 100%, the human race would have died out a long time ago. If your body was able to continue to remain very fertile at a low caloric intake, and/or your husband has very high sperm count as well, then you're STILL more likely to conceive boys.

Thanks for the replies! One thing I forgot to mention is that I am still semi breast feeding DS. I only bf him when he needs comfort, maybe that's why I am still having major appetite because i still bf. i don't know when I'm going to stop bf-ing, perhaps before DS turnS 2 which is still half a year away at least. But I am not planning to ttc anytime these days so i'll see how I go with the diet once I get off bf-ing. Compared to my early days bf-ing DS I notice that my milk supply has decreased by some, but my appetite is still the same. I think I am truly a foodie!

Also, many women that I know of who have DDs are not necessarily skinny minnie, in fact they look not so slim/lazy due to not exercising and not eating healthy stuff like vegs/fruits which are alkalinizing. I wonder how these women still had DDs.

Many women who never swayed were still able to have their DDs after having son(s) because their diet and lifestyle change due to being busy looking after their kids, but not me ! I still think about what yummy food to eat and when I can sneak out to eat and enjoy my meal when DS is taking his naps, etc. that's why some women were able to have DDs naturally. But for me I have to do a lot of online research and implement this theory myself, which is 1) not easy to do and to purposely change something esp if this doesn't happen naturally 2) might not work for me because I am naturally maybe a walking " ttc boy diet".

I noticed this too and used to wonder the same thing. I think that bigger/overweight women tend to always try dieting so that may put them in girl territory.

I also agree with the other ladies about reducing your portions.

I have always been very thin and a sweets junkie and i'm having a hard time with that too.
