Hello everyone,
I feel so gutted...
I have been on the Standard LE diet now for 12 weeks exactly.
Skipping breakfast, started drinking coffee and alcohol, no snacking, found out last week that I was eating way too few calories (around 1200) and introduced cardio 5 times a week since three weeks...
Now here it comes:
yesterday I got my AF so I am now at cd 2.
This month (September) would be our first month actively TTC girl.
But:
Since a week I haven’t been able to follow the diet as strict because DH is home for our two week break from work. I have been able to maintain at least three times a week exercise but this weekend ai celebrated by 30th birthday and I feel really gutted because when I normally dont snack on the LE diet, I have snacked for about 4-5 days...
My DH is keeping an eye on me because he thinks Im becoming too thin and not eating enough.
Yesterday we went to an amusement park so we walked lots and lots but I also ate loads
We ate chips with a snack (in the amusement park), apple pie (more than once because I celebrated my birthday 3 times with fewer people due to Covid-19) crisps, chocolate... all really unhealthy aswell. Yesterday I def went over 2000 calories.
The biggest difference with the LE diet i was doing is:
Not sticking to 2-3 meals
Going over the calorie limits
Some but not all days going over protein/fat limits
I feel so stupid, so weak and am quite annoyed with myself. I wouldn’t mind it so much If I wasnt soo close to our ONE attempt...i expect my O in 12-13 days...
Should I skip this month and TTC next month? Or should I TTC this month, in less than two weeks time?
Advice please!! Thankyou in advance!

I would say don’t skip! If you’ve been on the diet this long, a couple days can’t undo it! Just pick back up now and continue on as you were before (but definitely more than 1200cals like you said!). As atomic told me and many others that I’ve read, the message your body gets from swaying take time! If it only took one day or a few days or even one week, then we would only have to diet and exercise for one day or a few days or one week! I believe the results from those who swayed less like 2-4 weeks were way lower even if they swayed “stricter.” So if swaying for only two weeks doesn’t work, accidentally breaking your away for a couple days can’t undo all the hard work you’ve done! If that makes sense.
The same thing happened to me, literally. My O day moved up in July (the month before we started trying) which then put my O day for August, when we were starting to try, right around the time of our ONE summer vacation. We brought our own food so I was MOSTLY able to follow the diet on vacation, but not always. I had quite a few cheats — more than you on your few days! — and also cut back on exercise, unintentionally, because I did not have the energy to exercise every day after being at the beach all day. And then I ended up getting a blazing positive opk literally THE DAY WE GOT HOME from our vacation, had our one attempt that night, ovulated the next day, and now here I am a little over 5 weeks pregnant.
I still don’t know if my sway worked, of course! But I had the same situation where I had the most cheats of my entire sway literally the same week that I ovulated!! Plus slacking on the exercise a bit. But like I said above, and like atomic told me when I asked, and what I’ve read elsewhere on here ... if diet/exercise for only a couple days worked, the that’s all we’d have to do! [emoji4] You’ve been on the diet this long, you’re in the home stretch! You’ve got this! Pick back up and carry on [emoji16] hope you enjoyed your birthday! [emoji322]

Do not postpone. You very likely needed the food.
It is completely normal and to be expected that you ahve some cheats and low willpower at that point in the cycle. It's progesterone that does that. It's the best part of the cycle to cheat and is not a big deal at all.
If anything we did for a few days or a week mattered I'd have you guys do diet for shorter periods of time. We KNOW from our experience that dieting for 2-4 weeks was not at all effective even when people were super strict (either for pink or for blue!) it took 6 full weeks of eating blue friendly to sway blue. You are absolutely fine to try this month.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
