Z - I'm sooooo sorry about your friend's daughter. That poor little baby having to grow up without a Mom. It makes me want to cry too, and I've never met this woman .

Oh, and I'm sure your labour fears are normal. I think if I do ever get pregnant again I'm going to be a lot more scared this time than last time now that I know what natural birth feels like. And if you had a traumatic birth, I'm sure it's doubly likely you'll be scared. Just remember that every baby is different, and I'm sure after having 3 babies your body's just going to know what to do when the time comes and everything's going to work out fine.

Btw, I need a pep talk. I've started worrying about something happening to me during labour and wondering if it's selfish of me to want another baby and put myself in that position when I have my three gorgeous boys to be here for. I know it's unlikely and I remember having similar fears with DS2 (as it happens it was him who was poorly and not me!). I'm remembering those contractions near the end when I feel like I'm going to die!!
A pep talk!!? You came to the right place! LOL

Z- Having NO fears at all surrounding birth would be strange, IMO It's a healthy part of birth. We fear the unknown. It makes us respect life a little bit more, knowing that this could be the end. BUT....You have more chance dying on your way to a prenatal appt. in a car crash, than you would if you gave birth by yourself, in a rice patty with NO help. You will be amazing. The contractions can never be stronger than you, because they ARE you Giving birth is a normal, everyday occurrence around the world...it is a normal bodily function, like going poop. We(women) were designed to do it and as long as you trust in your body- it won't let you down. Eat well, get lots of exercise and rest, and have faith in you~ It'll be awesome Z

Perfect DM Now if you could just make me a track for my ipod saying that over and over again I'm sorted!! (Although wish you hadn't mentioned car crashes, that's my biggest fear ever!). Have I ever mentioned what a worrier I am?! I get it from my mum!

It's almost 9pm and I have DS1 sat next to me because he feels poorly. Every evening for a while he's been telling me he has tummy ache. He's eating fine and seems fine the rest of the time - but I'm swinging between thinking it's nothing and wondering whether it's something terrible. In the end I decided we'll go to the doctor's if he's still complaining on Monday.

ACK! I'm so sorry! It's my biggest fear too...This would be the reason I'm moving to Victoria BC in a few years....I HATE the snow and I'm terrified of driving in it! I'm the biggest chicken!!! I'll not mention that again....

DH and I were just having the very same conversation! He's a big worrier so perhaps he's worrying about something. We'll give it the weekend and take it from there. Thanks for the advice x

Sorry I didn't see it! I had some hypnobirthing sessions before I had DS3 and have the CD here somewhere. Thanks so much for offering though. I will get in the right frame of mind eventually, I always do. I had some great books but I lent them to somebody and never got them back (grr!). Ina May Gaskin - that was her name (the author not the woman I lent my books to!).
