So first cycle ttc and going full force diet tomorrow, not eating before 12 noon and then having muller light yog or natural yog, plain pasta and parmasan, or rice.
But on cd 11 I am out for a pre-booked meal. I ordered: leek and potato soup (it was this or ham hock) then turkey dinner followed by chocolate yule.
Do I just eat it all, or avoid eating certain bits, just pick?
Then cd 18,19,20,21 I am away and its all buffet brekkie and dinner included. I should ovulate on cd17 or after so need to keep levels low. Is that priority or is it still to try to eat very bland/low nutirent until after possible implantation?
Basically the second weekend should I avoid brekkie still? Choose girl friendly meals?
Thanks

Thanks, Im going to ttc this month as I just dont know how long it will take us and have another meal out booked in Jan. I will prob. skip brekkie and try and go for a vegetarian meal and lots of diet coke! Will just avoid the soup for the christmas meal one and eat as little as possible without anyone getting suspicious

Hi - for the pre-booked meal I would eat the soup (salt will be shocking but that's least important and at least it's vegetarian!) then pick at the main meal (cleverly hiding the meat under a roast potato or two!) and have the pudding - washed down with lashings and lashings of diet coke! You can compensate by having a smaller second meal that day. On holiday it shouldn't be too bad given that it's buffet style, just skip breakfast and stick to vegetarian smaller portions. It's a tough time of year for sure but I know you can do it

Thanks, at least the holiday is in theory after ovulation, so is more about keeping sugar levels low right? Not so much about nutrients? Im thinking the fertilisation would have already happenned so the focus is it implanting and staying there, so trying not to have high sugar levels in case its a girl which may choose not to implant. (sounds crazy but I know what I mean lol)
I expect that meal out, I will not eat much that day, and get away with the food picking with I dont normally eat that late :-)

Yes, blood sugar is the important thing in the 2ww. I had egg mayo sandwiches two days running in the 2ww because they tasted so good after no eggs for so long! Obviously you don't want to go mad if you're going to have to attempt the next month (though I hope you don't!).

Don't worry about the first dinner. Enjoy it. One meal does not make or break a sway (altho I would prob. not eat much if at all the rest of the day)
Ideally you would want to skip breakfast at that point BUT if there are some pretty berries or melon, I would eat them! If you eat something light that is all carbs, like fruit, it will burn off quickly, your blood sugar will drop low as soon as they are digested, and at the least you won't feel deprived.
The one thing I do want you to be slightly aware of is the sodium. Going from eating no sodium to eating TONS all of a sudden, doesn't seem wise to me and this is esp. true for a developing baby. Ease into the sodium and go light with it at first. I don't have any evidence that this is necessary and I may be being unneccesarily conservative, but it just seems to make sense to me.!!! Thanks atomic, I will def. Try to avoid the sodium and gently ease back into it, I will mainly add in fruit and veg. First. Our first attempt is soon, cd8 today and dtd tomorrow, and then waiting to see a fade in with the opk's before the final attempt - hoping for a 2 to 3 day cut off as should ovulate cd17 onwards so a 7 day cut off too but not to worried if its less as will do other things to lower the count. Can't believe how close it is now, ph is 4.5 today too :-)
