    Prenatals in 2WW?

While swaying, I'm taking folic acid on its own to avoid all those nasty nutrients in my usual prenatal vitamin. However, in light of my recent miscarriage, I've started to consider whether I should start taking the prenatal again during my 2WW to give a potential baby the healthiest start possible - especially as I will still be eating the very nutrient-poor LE diet and keeping my blood sugar low while waiting to test.

How much will this hurt any future sway? I would do 2 weeks on the prenatal, 2 weeks off (as soon as af arrives...which hopefully she won't!!!!).

I think you just need to really worry about blood sugar levels in the 2ww...Pre-Natals shouldn't be an issue then. The only risk you run is having extra nutrients for next month's sway if you don't get a BFP this time...No risk to the bub and can only help.

I took prenatals for 1 month before concieving my daughter. I would recommend giving your little bean the best start possible and take them during the 2ww.

DO NOT stop and start vitamins cold turkey like that. Much much worse for your body than simply waiting until BFP to begin them.

Personally, I think you should just go ahead and take them if it gives you peace of mind to do it. Lots of people have conceived baby girls while on prenatals.

Also, the LE Diet is NOT very nutrient poor. The protein and fat intake are all safe and healthy amounts advised by the World Health Organization and the caloric intake is recommended by REs as a safe caloric intake for weight loss during HT. It is totally possible to get a wide array of nutrients on the LE Diet and in fact it is much more balanced in nutrients than either the IGD or FGD. Low everything does not mean NO everything.
