Atomic,
I was wondering what you thought of this study. It seems like the moon had a huge impact in this case.
Influence of moonlight on the birth of male and female babies.
Sarkar M, Biswas NM.
Department of Physiology, Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Science and Research, Calcutta, India.
Effects of full moon and no moon on the birth of male and female offsprings were studied in Indian Couples of the age group 20 to 40 years. It was observed that 42 wives who were conceived within 24 hours of ovulation at full moon gave birth of 40 male and 2 female babies. On the other hand 40 women conceived on the day of ovulation 3 days prior to full moon gave birth of 13 male and 27 female babies. But only 5 women conceived on no moon, all of them gave birth of female babies. It was also observed that vaginal pH of the ovulated women during full moon was alkaline (pH 8.7 +/- 0.4) while pH was weak acidic in women ovulated 3 days prior to full moon and no moon (pH 6.4 +/- 0.5; 6.2 +/- 0.5). The basal body temperature (BBT) was increased 0.7 degrees F to 1.3 degrees F during the ovulation period when compared with women during the absence of ovulation. But there is an increase in temperature 0.5 degrees F more in women ovulated in full moon than no moon. Together, these results indicate that alkaline vaginal fluid medium and more rise of BBT during full moon favour conception of male babies. This method gives the couple more chance of having male child if conception occurs in the day of ovulation in full moon and having female child if conception occurs in no moon.

Interesting, thanks for that.
We dtd in october right on O, going by my personalised lunar calendar, alot of planets were in male signs, therefore male energy strongly predominates, and the moon was in good aspects with Venus, Mercury & Saturn.
We shall see the outcome in 6 more weeks!!Dd1Dd2

I think this study is the same one referred to in the science section?

and Atomic says...:
Before you worry too much about the Moon and its phases, there are many myths in our culture surrounding the power of the moon. One such myth is that more babies are born during a full moon. Heine, chief of Duke Maternal-Fetal Medicine, is quick to dispute any connection between the phases of the moon and the onset of labor. "People have thought a full moon is responsible for many things -- bad or good -- through time. So when babies were born in a full moon, it naturally became the reason, rather than just the normal time," says Heine.Last edited by rainbowflower; December 8th, 2011 at 03:21 AM.

I am always confused on the moon phases. I never know when is supposed to be better for ttc girl. My first son was conceived on a full moon, ds2 on waxing, almost full. My o this month will be in a waning moon - between half and crescent. We are trying regardless but what is supposed to be better? Waxing or waning?

I did a lot of moon research too and it is cool to see how it could affect you... I wanted to only DTD if I was going to O on a newmoon but that was in July so now I had to change my plan. This cycle we I o'ed 3days before the fullmoon and the moon was in Taurus (not sure if B or G).

I personally believe the moon has some impact (I didn't say total control) based on the fact that both my babes were full moon (conception) babies, and this time I did ovulate in a nice perfect new moon. I don't know if I'm pregnant or not yet, but I figured it'd add it to my sway, waht could it hurt, really? Nothing, and if it helped, well it was soemthing free that added to my sway.
We shall see.

Hmm, Im going to be ovulating in the full moon, blimmin typical! Im upping my negative ions to try to compensate and hoping weight loss rules and will be keeping a close eye on my PH to try to keep it as low as possible just in case. My cycle was suppossed to have me ovulate within the new moon phase but typically I have gone past that with no ovulation!
However Im not so sure my body reacts to the ions as have done lots of negative things and no change in my PH
